An absence in stalking.

Hello fellow stalkers,

Have you missed me? Probably not.

I’ve been on Twitter for quite some time now but I have currently started interacting with fellow bloggers. I want to start daily (LOL) blogging about feelings and crap and it might not ALL be about the “stalkin'”, however my intentions are to keep it close if I can.

Let’s start off by filling everyone in real quick… eh?

2 years ago I promised you blogs on the following

  • Finesse Mitchell
  • Joe Machi and John Crist
  • Shawn Colvin
  • Sean Hurwitz
  • Tom Papa
  • John Caparulo
  • Mike Armstrong and Herbie Gill
  • T.L.C. and Nacho Extreme
  • Amy Schumer

Took this Engagement like photo with Finesse Mitchell back in 2015 after he performed at Hilarities.

My gal pal Holly and I getting all snuggles with comedian Joe Machi after his show. I then jumped in with John Crist (white guy) annnd I don’t know the other guys name, they were the opening acts at Hilarities back in 2015.

Singer Shawn Colvin after her performance in New York for the Lincoln Center Out of Doors concert back in 2015. It was a free concert, we were actually there to snag Fiona Apple but she slipped through the cracks.

Sean Hurwitz from Smash Mouth and singer Suzi Oravec performed at Scenes Pig and Whiskey festival in Willoughby back in 2015.

  • Tried to get the lead singer but he disappeared, Sean was nice enough to stick around and meet all the fans. He even interacted with a child.
  • Suzi is a Cleveland gal that sings country and was a blast to take pictures with.

Comedian Tom Papa after his act at Hilarities back in 2015.

Smiles with John Caparulo after his comedy act back in 2015 at Hilarities.

Comedians Mike Armstrong and Herbie Gill after their act back in 2015 at the HardRock Casino.

The beautiful ladies of TLC, Chilli and T-Boz and then with Nacho Extreme, good friends and security on The WahlBurgers.

  • Shari and I went to the concert, it was TLC, NKOTB, and Nelly.
  • Paid $99 for meet and greet passes, no stalking was involved for TLC.
  • Barley House in Cleveland had an event after the concert, rumors of the NKOTB clan would be there. $10 cover charge, stayed awhile but there was no signs of the boy band. Did get to meet Henry Nacho from The Wahlburgers, not a total loss.

Stalker in crime Shari grinning ear to ear with Amy Schumer after her comedy act at Playhouse Square back in 2015.

  • I was supposed to be at this show but she had rescheduled the original date and the new one fell when I was on vacation.
  • Definitely one I regret, because Amy is hilarious as balls. I loved her on season 5 of last comic standing a million years ago and have been a fan since.
  • She did an HBO special, pictures and video from her meeting Shari in Cleveland made it on the opening credits. I have video of it somewhere…it will probably never get posted. ūüôĀ

A couple extras that happened after the fact.

Bobby Collins was a delight to meet, the comedian took pictures after his show at Hilarities.

The below collage of photos took place at The Lake County Captains, Cleveland Sports History Night

A couple of failed stalks include:

  • Chris Rock / Total Blackout Tour. It was a cold and rainy day. We drove down to Cleveland before the show, PAID to park and waited for Chris to arrive at the Playhouse Square. 3 of us huddled under 1 umbrella that was now turned upside down from the dramatic winds. At one point we ran back to our car because the rain was soo heavy, but when we saw a car pull up we darted back across the street to try for the stalk. Pretty sure it was Chris, I don’t remember if we saw him get out or not. We left shortly after, drenched and defeated.
  • Shari went back the next day and tried again, this time I do believe she saw Chris but he kept on walking.
  • Found out Dave Chappelle, Arsenio Hall, and Ardie Fuqua were all surprise guests on this particular night in Cleveland.
  • Hall who is a Cleveland native tweeted about his experience.

  • Howie Mandel.¬†Performed at the Hardrock Rocksino last year about this time.
  • We got there early to catch him before the show. He pulled up, pretended he was on his phone and walked by…NEVER even looked up to acknowledged us. It was rude.

  • Mary J. Blige / Strength of a Woman Tour. Performed at the Hardrock Rocksino.
  • Got there early, missed her going in. Stayed till the end of the show but security pushed us SOOO FAR BACK we didn’t stand a chance. Saw what we thought was her leave, get in the bus we thought was hers annnnd… jumped in our car to follow until our exit came up. Went home tired and defeated.

Some upcoming stalks include:

  • Johnny Mathis. I’ve been a fan of Johnny since I was a child, on Christmas Eve we’d all sing along to his Christmas VHS tape. His Christmas album is one of my favorites and I listen to it religiously during the holidays.
  • Johnny has been performing at the Playhouse Square for quite some time now when I finally realized it was time for a stalk.
  • A few years back…Hanson was also performing the night Johnny was and we decided to make it a 2 for 1, snag Hanson (At HOB) before the show super early and then hit up Johnny at the Playhouse. However Hanson came out later than usual and by the time we made it back to the Playhouse Johnny was already inside. We waited for a little, tried to get some of the workers to get him to come out but it never happened. Unfortunately, we were also seeing the Hanson show (and still had to snag the two other brothers) that we could not come back for Johnny.
  • Fast forward. Johnny will be back in Cleveland Friday, November 3rd. With such short notice, little money, and an early volleyball game I don’t think I am going to make it this time around either. I was actually looking forward to going to the show as he will be performing his new album The Great New American Songbook.

  • Nick Offerman / Full Bush Tour.¬†He will be at the Playhouse Square on November 19th, I’d actually really like to see the show. I am working on getting tickets now but if not, I’d love to meet Nick, he’s hilarious.

  • Fred Willard / An Evening with Fred Willard. Another Playhouse Square performer, he will be in Cleveland on December 30th.
  • Ticket prices are $18 in advance and $20 at the door, seems very reasonable.
  • “We‚Äôre extremely proud to have comedy legend and Shaker Heights native¬†Fred Willard¬†joining us for the 2017 Cleveland Comedy Festival for a fun and engaging evening that celebrates his amazing career in film, TV, sketch and improv comedy.¬† The show will feature video clips from Fred‚Äôs most notable appearances as well as open, un-scripted conversation with Fred facilitated by WCPN Sound of Ideas host and Plain Dealer columnist Mike McIntyre.¬† You know Fred, you love Fred, join us in the Outcalt Theatre for a great evening with America‚Äôs favorite comedic everyman.” – Playhouse Square

These are just to name a few as there are others I have yet to fully look over and put down on paper.

Scheduling is hard.

Cleveland is far.

Parking isn’t cheap.

Above are some of the conflicts I am faced with when deciding on my next victim, but with a little better planning and a positive attitude anything is possible.

Once again, thank you for you time.

Don’t forget to SHARE, LIKE, and COMMENT.

Harland Williams

Harland Williams

Hello!

You were probably wondering where myself and Shari have been this winter, well I assure you we have a few tricks up our sleeves. If you can hold on just a little longer I promise a few good adventures, but in the meantime please enjoy this easy stalk.

Harland was on the hit list for the month of April, he was scheduled to perform at Hilarities from Friday till Sunday so we had a few options. However a week ago I got the call that I won yet another 4 pack to an upcoming comedy show. Harland was one of the names on the list and I knew right away that’s who we were going to see, the downfall… only Friday night was available and that would mean I would have to miss volleyball. I was ok with that. ūüôā So I scrounged up a few people and we made our way downtown, it was a beautiful night. A little wet and a little chilly but it was Cleveland and it was April so we rolled with it.

We picked up our tickets and made our way down the stairs where some nice gentlemen escorted us to our seats, we ordered some food and a few dranks and prepared to laugh.

The opening act was a lovely, black lady. I don’t remember her name and never did get a picture with her but she was talented and very funny, she introduced the next guy. Some middle-aged white dude, at first…to me he seemed dry and I was nervous but he came too and I also enjoyed his comedy. He was hanging out back after the show, I thought about getting a picture with him but I already held my company up too long so I decided against it.

Finally Harland comes out and he did not disappoint. ¬†He was probably one of the funniest if not funniest comedians I have seen there or ever. I never stopped laughing and actually had tears running down my face. There was even a few times where I had the creepy silent laugh and couldn’t breath. I even became that annoying laugher that people turned around to look at. ¬†He interacted with the¬†audience and never skipped a beat, it was like half the time he was making his act up on the spot and it was perfect. I clearly enjoyed myself and would absolutely go see him th next time he comes around.

At the end he was nice enough to meet his fans out in the lobby. First he was selling his shirt that he wore on stage. For most of the night I was focused on it trying to figure out what he said. Finally some whore he called out who was on her phone asked him the question.

The video above explains the shirt and you can purchase one from his site for $22, or you can get one at his shows for $20. ūüôā

Anywho. He was selling the shirts first and signing autograph and when that was all done then he was taking pictures with the peeps. So my brother and I got in line, I had T.J. get the ticket signed so I can add it to my scrapbook and then I had Harland sign the cover of my Sorority Boys DVD. He was super cool about it, I got nervous because it was a DVD but he did it without hesitation.

IMG_20150410_223410174

When that was all said and done we waited to get our pictures with him, one of the workers was taking the pictures for Mr.Williams to keep things moving along. He took the picture and the flash never went off when I looked at it, it was a little¬†blur… kinda¬†like a turd flying through space.

IMG_20150410_211918005

I said something and Harland was cool with taking another picture but people were quick to jump in with him. So my husband and I waited off to the side patiently. After about 4 or 5 people Harland saw we were still waiting and he asked if we wanted another picture, I said yeah but I didn’t want to jump in front of anyone. He said, we were next and like he promised we jumped back in and got another picture. Once again there was no flash but I wasn’t going to go back for a third, luckily it was good.

What a fun evening!! I got to spend with my husband, brother, mother and her partner. Great food, company and laughs.

Special thanks to Hilarities for the hook up and warm hospitality and for Harland Williams for the laughs!

Thank you for my fans!! Hope you enjoyed the story, please like, comment and SHARE!!

Stalk ya later.

Cleveland Comic Con / Wizard World

Wizard
Hello!
I’ll try to make this short and sweet but there is soooooooooooo much to talk about. Let us begin¬†where Pat and I were going to purchase the 3 day weekend pass but ended up just getting tickets for Saturday. It was $107.00 for the two of us, $45 a piece plus some crazy amount of tax. However Pat and I were planning this for some time now so we were prepared to pay the price. We had never been to a #ComicCon before and with this being #Cleveland‘s first we just had to check it out. #ClevelandComicCon Now my husband is a geek and loves his super heroes and comic books, so he was excited for other reasons. I on the other hand was all about the celebrities that would be occupying their little booths. One celebrity in particular was Scott Wilson / #HershelGreene from The Walking Dead (TheWalkingDead) , and I was going to snag him for sure. The sucky thing about all of this was that you had to pay for a picture and then pay for an autograph but not all of us had a million dollars. But I had a few bucks in my pocket and went there expecting to spend some of it, I wasn’t leaving there without a picture with a celebrity. When we got there, we headed straight to the back where all the celebs were caged in little areas. We headed over to where Scott Wilson was, it was very exciting…for me. At most of the booths you could pay in cash for a picture (selfie) or an autograph or both but at a¬†cheaper rate. You also could chat it up with them for a bit and then move a long. Wizard World was offering “Photo ops” for a lot more money but they were professionally taken, and you got a free print out of it. I didn’t need all that and was content with an average photo with my own camera. Pat forced me to get in line and do my photo op with Scott before it was too late. As I was scooting through the line I made eye contact with Scott and we had a small conversation before I made it to him. So I did, paid my $20 and got a picture with Mr.Wilson, I didn’t want to pay another $30 for an autograph. When I got up there he asked for a hug, and of course I gave him one. He was super sweet and talked to us for a minuet.
Scott Wilson
When all was done Pat and I went our separate ways. He was going to look at all the toys and booths and I was going to hang out with the celebrities. I wanted to meet more but I didn’t want to pay for it, so I decided to try and catch them in between. It didn’t work out so well:
1) Seth Gilliam / #GabrielStokes from #TheWalkingDead had a booth next to Scott. I saw him leave his area and book it across the floor, so I followed him. I made it to him and asked for a quick picture, he acted as though I wasn’t there. He was frantically looking around for something, I asked if he was on a mission and he said yes. So I let him go but I still followed him, lol. The whole time I kept an eye out and nobody even noticed him so I wasn’t to nervous about drawing any unnecessary attention. On his way back, I hung behind and let him pass me. I walked back up to him and asked¬†Seth again. He said no and told me I could go to his booth if I wanted a picture. I told him maybe I would and he said ok. That’s when I decided I wasn’t going to give him my money, his booth remained empty for most of the time. I felt one quick selfie wouldn’t have hurt anything.
Seth Gillum
2) Lou Ferrigno / #TheIncredibleHulk was next, his booth was more open and was easier to get to. At one point he left his post to talk to someone, I waited till he came back. When he did, I “accidentally” walked into his path to make contact, which I did. He put his large hand on my tiny Shoulder and we exchanged words. He stood there for a second, we were kinda behind the black wall. I took this chance to ask him for a selfie, I said “Can we take an illegal selfie real quick?” he hesitated, and then sad no and pointed to his booth. For a moment I felt he was going to say yes but the power of the #WizardWorld people must be stronger than I thought.
 Lou
3) Adrian Paul / #Highlander had left his booth he was on the move and I literally had to jog to catch up with him. I reached him and got his attention, he turned around and apologized but he couldn’t, and then a staff member came running towards us saying he had to go and he couldn’t stop. Then he disappeared into the photo op section, I think he had an appointment with paying customers. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let this one slide.
Adrian1
4) James Marsters / #Spike from #BuffytheVampireSlayer and #Angel. This was towards the end of the day and I wasn’t even looking for him when I happened to look up and saw him walking towards me. So of course I asked if it would be ok for a picture and he apologized but couldn’t, the guy he was with said the same thing and then they walked away.
Spike
I was denied 4 times and wasn’t feeling it anymore, I had failed. It might not have been so bad if I had recordings of the rejections but I thought I would get the selfie (plus I had to act fast) so I had to have my camera ready just in case. Anyways, I kept circling the booths with $60 burning a hole in my pocket, I wanted one more celebrity. My back was hurting me my feet and legs hated me but I kept on, at one point Pat found me and forced me to eat something.

I was able to sneak a selfie of myself and Lou

Lou and I

and myself and Jason David Frank, The Green and White #PowerRanger.

Jason David Frank

I finally decided who I was going to get a picture with next, Drea de Matteo from #TheSopranos and #DesperateHousewives¬†( I LOVE and MISS DHW). My main decision had a lot to do with that she was the cheapest at $20 for a picture. I would have gotten a¬†picture with everyone but since my money tree withered up, I had to resort to penny pinching and thus my decision to snag Drea.¬†She was starting to put her jacket on so I jumped right in, she was kind enough to spare some time. Her handler took 2 pictures like super quick, I thanked her and walked off. I took a look at the pictures of us and I looked horrible. One, my eyes were closed and the other, I had a stupid look on my face. So I walked back over there and asked for a redo, that I’d even erase the other two. She said “I didn’t have to do that” and she would take another one with me. We joked around, and the guy kept taking picture after picture. At one point she even tickled me, it was a fun and awkward photo shoot. I thanked them and then went on my way, making sure to check and see that I had a good picture. Out of the dozen or so I was able to find a nice one.

Drea

Well, this is the longest blog of your life and I apologize but I can’t help myself. I promise, it’s almost over.

It was after 5 or 6 and most of the booths were cleared out, I decided to call it quits. I found Pat sitting at a table and joined him, it was nice to rest. As we were chilling I saw that Adrian was packing it up for the night and last minuet I had to get a picture with him too. I walked over and put on my cutest smile, they were kind enough to let me¬†sneak in a quick one. The man that was with Adrian took the picture for us and of course before I could leave I had to check to see if I looked good in it. Adrian, looks at me and goes “Is it good?” I nodded yes, he smiled, I thanked him and that was that.

Adrian

When that was all said and done, we made our way towards the door when my husband told me there was a #DoctorWho actor over here taking pictures with people. I never watched the show or knew any of the actors in it but I jumped in to get a picture with the guy anyways. I Googled the show but couldn’t find this guy anywhere, I saw someone had tagged him as the tenth doctor and some of the pictures looked like him. Well, I posted the picture but was told that wasn’t the actor but a look a like. OH well, my mistake. I did find that he is on a web series about the show on YouTube, so that kinda counts…right?

Doctor Who

Finally the floor was closing and we decided it was time to leave. We had a nice¬†adventure but Pat was disappointed that the comic books were not as¬†plentiful as he would have liked. I thought Wizard World was a little greedy with everything, especially with the celebrities and all the fees. I also think that Wizard World has strict rules, which was why I was dissed on the selfies. It seemed some wanted to take the picture¬†but that they were scared to death to give in, haha. I’d like to know how that all works, and who gets paid and where all the money goes to. For now, I’ll keep a low profile. Maybe some day, I’ll figure it out.

I would have¬†LOVED to get more celebrity faces and I feel that I tried really hard to make that happen but the cards were against me that day. I also didn’t get any autographs, just money I felt I¬†better¬† hold onto for food and such¬†and it’s¬†not like I plan on¬†selling the autographs anyways…so no need for them at this time.¬†PLUS. I like a picture anyways, shows proof you were there¬†and is worth a thousand words from what¬†I hear.

ALSO, might I add. Everyone was super friendly, from the staff, to the customers, all the booth people and mostly the celebrities. Can’t be easy sitting there for hours having the same conversation with creepy fans day after day. Mad props and a great big THANK YOU!

There were other celebrities floating around too, these were the ones I got pictures of. There are a few others I didn’t recall seeing while I was there or missed completely, exciting –¬† I KNOW!

A lot of the celebrity folk hung out and around the Cleveland area, including the Casino AND were nice and taking pictures…probably for free I might add. Next time I’ll pay more attention and chill at the Black Jack tables, I might have better luck. It’s very hard though to be on call, especially living on the eastside which is¬†a good 15 to 20 minutes away, not like I can just take a walk down the block. Parking is expensive and traffic can be horrible, not to mention the weather we’ve been having here lately.

I think that is it for now, enjoy the pictures. Some of the staff were super serious and wouldn’t let you take pictures of the stars but I did my best. I have more pictures that maybe I’ll upload later.

Ohhh and I went back before I left and gave Scott another hug, we talked for a minuet and then I let the man be. If I was thinking I could of had Pat take pictures or record it…but I didn’t think of it till after the fact. Also. It appears that Mr.Wilson hugs everyone, young, old, and ugly. I thought we shared a moment…I still think I was his favorite though.

Thank you for your patience, I know this was long.

WENDY LIEBMAN

Wendy on Americas Got Talent

Good morning,
My story begins on one very cold and snowy day in February, or maybe it was in January. I think it was January, more towards the end of the month so it felt like it could have been February. Actually this information is useless to the current situation so I am going to continue on.
A small time ago Pickwick & Frolic/Hilarities 4th Street Theatre (my new favorite place) called me up and said “Hey, you won 4 tickets to a future show” and then listed 3 different acts. All I heard was Blah, Blah, Blah, #WendyLiebman and I knew right away which show I was picking. I was also a bit disappointed in myself for not knowing she was coming to Cleveland, Ohio but that was in the past and I was going to see her in the future so all was right with the world.Slipping back a smidge further into the 2014 season of America’s Got Talent, which is where we first saw Wendy and fell in love. She didn’t win but she got super far and with being a comedian…let a long a female one at that was very impressive.

OK, now back to present day.

I found Wendy on Twitter, followed her and began tagging her in many random tweets. To my surprise she has favorited I think every one that she was tagged in, pretty sweet. At least I knew she was reading or somewhat acknowledging me and that made my heart fill up with joy. Not much gets me all hot and bothered.

So, the night of the show came pretty quickly. Luckily for us the #Cleveland snow storm was the night before so the roads and weather, despite the below freezing temperatures were manageable and we headed downtown and parked. We made our way in and to my surprise were sat very close to the stage, ordered some dranks and waited for the show to begin.

First out was local comedian and crowd pleaser #BrianKenny (@BrianKenny69), he got the room going and was a pleasantly funny despite living in his parents basement.

Next out was @MikeParamore (#MichaelParamore), I liked his style. Very entertaining, one big chocolate teddy bear.

AND THEN the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the headliner of the night Wendy Libeman appeared out of the dark wearing black and standing 3 feet tall on stage. The microphone stand hovering over her like a blanket of stars, I could have scooped her up and ran off with her but I wanted to see her act first… you know to make sure keeping her locked up in my apartment was going to be worth it for the next few decades. Anyways, fantasies aside. I sipped on my drink and enjoyed the show. She was great, just how I remembered her from T.V. Lots of energy and constantly smiling, she interacted with the audience and was very patient at times. WE enjoyed ourselves very much and hated to see it come to an end but like all good things it did.

When the lights came on we followed the crowd out the doors and up the stairs to do a little meet and greet with the comedians, my favorite part of the night. *Giggles*

Wendy was busy talking with an older gentleman and I waited awkwardly off to the side for when it was my time to pounce. When that time did come, which seemed like the longest 95 seconds of my life I scooted in. But she turned around to Michael and they exchanged high fives, I had to break them up because it was my turn. Wendy was very kind and friendly, I told her how we watched and rooted for her the whole time on AGT. She said she had such a blast on the show, I asked her about Cleveland and she said she was having such a good time. We then got our picture taken together, I thanked her again.. Oh..Oh. The hug, I almost forgot about the hug. So. I am a huge hugger and have been known to give pretty damn good hugs but putting all that aside. When Wendy and I initially met, She asked what my name was (which was sweet) and that’s when I brought up AGT, we smiled at each other and then she held her arms out and wanted to give me a hug, ME! I’m usually the one wrapping my creepy arms around people. So, that totes made my night. The picture was taken and I’m sure we said a few other things that I can’t quite remember. I then asked her to sign my ticket stub and she didn’t have any problem with it. Of course I had a sharpie with me all ready to go and while she was signing she covered it up with her had has to keep it a secret. She had signed it using my name, which she remembered (more points for me) and then I made some lame comment about her number being on it. I’m hoping she didn’t hear that but I’m afraid she did, I sometimes need to try not to be “funny” because it just makes me look bad. We said our goodbyes, I kinda wanted to stay and talk with her all night. She seemed super cool and down to earth, would loved to have picked her brain BUT I had people with me and of course work the next day. Before I left I made sure I got me some more hugs and snagged a picture with the boys.

Wendy and I

Ticket stubWe got home at a reasonable time and this young lad went right to bed.

Woke up the next day and uploaded all my pictures and once again bothered Wendy on twitter, I think she finally caved in and decided to follow me back! SCORE!!! Wendy Twitter

So that is all I have, hopefully this story wasn’t too long and kept ALL of your interest.

Thank you again, please remember to like, comment, and share with all your friends.

STALK YA LATERS!!

I’m BACK!

Woah!!

I don’t know what happened (and I’m not sure if I am fully functional yet) but thanks to my buddy Johnny Sarcasm I am at least above water.

Sorry that I have been so out of touch and not up to date but there have been a few adventures I need to get everyone up to speed on.

While the site was down I started a Facebook page and continued from where I left off. At this point it’s a lot easier and more convienient to use that portal, so I am torn with¬†what do. I am getting a lot more views (I think) and interactions with Facebook than this blog¬†but I hate to just give up on it. Please visit the page for the full stories and more pictures, I am thinking I will transfer everything to here soon depending on my decision.

Any feedback is very much welcomed!

For the moment, this is what you have missed:

I met Clint Frazier after a Captains baseball game one day, got a picture and had him sign a foul ball we got a few weeks eariler. He was signed by The Indians in 2013 and could make it to the pros sooner than later.

The So You think You Can Dance crew came into town, we waited out in the cold for hours only to not meet anyone. A few were sick and they all had excuses that they were told from upper management they were NOT to come out and mingle with fans. I felt salty and voiced my opnion on Twitter, got a response from the winner and then backlash from all his fans. Eh. I’m over it.

Melissa Etheridge was a big success. I actually went to her show and had a blast, what a performer. Met her out back, she signed our ticketstubs and then went on her way. She declined a picture because she had just taken a shower and wasn’t all dolled up. I dropped the ball and didn’t get any secret video but got plenty of pictures of her during the show.

Tony Bennett was also a success, snagged him AND his daughter as they were entering the building. Got a picture with his daughter but he was only signing things, I got partial video the rest stopped recording… Very upset.

Chris Daughtry was a big fail, got there to late and missed him going into the building. We waited a little bit but he never came back out. We walked to the front and saw him through the glass taking pictures with fans. I recorded it but both my devises failed and I didn’t get anything to report back on.

I got to meet a few of The Cleveland Browns players, they were at a bar for an autograph party. Phil Taylor, Robert Nelson Jr, and Craig Robertson. Got pictures of them, with them and around them, got some things signed and talked to the guys. They were very nice.

Emma Stone was performing in New York City on Broadway, Shari took a trip down there to see the play and to try and meet her. SCORE. She got her playbill signed and got some video of her signing everything. She rolled throught the crowd pretty quick, no selfies though… this time. (winky face)

Got 4 free tickets to see David Alan Grier, great show and of course got in line to meet him afterwards.

Dancing With the Stars season 15 winner Alfonso Ribeiro went on tour with the group and had two performances at the HardRock Rocksino. Shari and I got there just in time as the bus was rolling up, he came out, signed our things and took a picture with us. Very nice!

Sorry it took me a minuet to get this post up but it’s pretty good, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

the-voice-artists

Shari wanted to hit up the crew from The Voice Tour and asked if I would go along with her and well…the rest is history. I felt kinda bad because I didn’t watch the last few seasons and had no idea who any of these singers were but you know me I am always down for a good stalk. I wish I had done some research at least (and I said I was going to but it came up really fast) this way I could have related to them on some level, but I did ok.

I worked till 3:30, swung by picked Shari up and made our way to Cleveland. By the time we parked and walked to the Playhouse it was probably a little after 4;30 and there were 3 giant busses already parked. Shari had picked us up some food and we sat on the sidewalk across from the parking lot and had a small picnic while checking our Twitter for any important tweets. At this point we figured everyone was in there but it was still a good 3 hours before the show and hoped we could catch a few walking back and forth.

There was plenty of activity but no one of importance… to us at least. The one thing that hurt us is that there is a building going up right next door and blocking the side of the building that we usually hideout at, it was rather annoying. So the one main door was butted up to the construction fence and it was really hard to see anyone or thing¬†unless they came out past the building. At one point Tessanne¬†Chin (season 5) and Jake Barker (season 6) popped¬†out and Shari jumped up and tried getting their attention, waving and calling out Jake’s¬†name. He waved back and gave her the “Hold one minuet” finger gesture and then sat down next to Tess on a curb behind a few cars and out of sight. Assuming they came out for a quick smoke and didn’t want to be bothered. Shari wanted to walk over there, I said he acknowledged you so he’ll be over no need to run them down. WELL, a few minutes later they got up, never looking at us and walked back inside as we yelled. That just made us salty right there, so we sat back down and watched the ants devour a puddle of ranch dressing we left on the sidewalk. It was getting closer to show time so we started pacing¬†around and walked to the one side of the bus so we could look down the side of the building to see if anyone was hiding. We saw a couple, dressed nice and making out.¬†Like creepers we¬†watched and I took some serious stalker video and pictures (maybe I will post later). It looked like the guy could have been Will Champlin but it was hard to tell for sure and at one point they saw us but it was a weird situation all around. He started walking our way so we figured it was him and he was being nice but he made a sharp right turn and started towards another bus across the parking lot. So I started walking in that direction to try to¬†get a better view of him, he never looked over and got on the bus. I wasn’t sure, Shari wasn’t sure either¬†but I didn’t think it was. Maybe a relative¬†but this mans beard was a little longer so¬†we took our seats again but this time we moved up a few feet sitting on the edge of the grass/curb like situation with our feet in their parking lot.¬† Literally 30 seconds¬†a voice comes booming over some speakers somewhere and tells us we are on private property, and on surveillance¬†and need to leave. Shari and I just sat there like, is this really happening. We waited and then it spoke up again, “the police¬†have been notified leave the premisses¬†now”. Well this was a first for us, we’ve been to many a stalking at The Playhouse and never had this happen. It was very embarrassing¬†(if there were anyone around to see it) and a little unsettling. security seen us, staff had¬†seen us and¬†if they had a problem they could have told us to move along like they’ve done in the¬† past. Well, anyways we decided to take a walk and come back after the show, just in case they did call the cops. Plus the sidewalk is not their property, could they really make us leave? So this really chapped my ass and I kept thinking and thinking about it. On the building there was what looked like some old ass speakers and next to that was a camera so yes, this could be real right now but I still couldn’t believe the Playhouse would stoop to that level.

The two of us walked to some new cupcake place and indulged¬†a little then we went to Starbucks and rehydrated before pressing our luck at the Playhouse. We ended up standing on the corner, literally¬†by the cross walk¬†for fear of being arrested. It was close to 8 or 9 or something and Cleveland workers were emerging¬†from the shadows, they help set up and take down stage equipment¬†for shows and such. Most of the guys were hitting on us and who could blame them but we told them about the loud-speaker¬†and they couldn’t believe it either. Which made me think that it wasn’t the Playhouse and here’s why. When we were watching that couple make out¬†they probably felt threatened or they were just being dicks¬†and wanted us to leave so when the guy walked to the bus and 30 seconds¬†later the voice of God filled our bodies with electricity¬†I figured it had to be him but how? I finally noticed that this bus had what looked like two speakers pointing outward on either end of the hood of the vehicle, I am still not 100% sure but I am leaning towards that it was the guy trying to scare us off. We may never know and even when the original¬†Playhouse security came out I almost asked them but I didn’t want to get involved just in case.

The concert lasted a lot longer than we had anticipated it to but finally people started to flock from around the corner and with the presence of security it was almost time. It took a few minutes but finally the singers all came out and everyone but 2 made an appearance however Shari and I only got 6 out of the 9 because Tess slipped away before we could snag her.

Below is some video clips of the majority of the guys and girls coming out and being friendly. enjoy!

Everyone was super nice as you can see, took pictures, talked, and signed. (I still need to add Shari’s pictures)

The boys came out first while the ladies showered the stank off of them, first to jump into the crowd was Will Champlin (Season 5). He was the one we thought we saw earlier in the day but he never said anything to us and up close he looked differently than the other guy.

image

The picture came out a little blurry and let me tell you why –¬† my new camera is pretty sweet and by accident on vacation we found out it has a feature that takes random video while you’re taking pictures. I figured what better way to actually get me in some shots as well but the downfall is that it doesn’t let you focus it (that I know of) and thus the blurry effect. It’s really not a bad picture at all, very pleased with this one.

Next up was Jake Barker from earlier, the one that teased us and then ignored us but he redeemed himself. When Shari walked up to him he asked if she had waived before, of course we did and he replied with how sorry he was. He felt really bad but he had to get back inside and¬†then gave us both a hug. So, we didn’t feel salty about him anymore.

image

Another great picture, damn Instagram you done good.

I do believe Josh Kaufman (Season 6) shuffled by after Jake, I thought he was super cute and of course very friendly.

image

We had to take a couple of pictures because the flash didn’t quit work the first time, it took a picture but this one came out better.

Jack Worthington (Season 6) appeared after Josh, they actually met in the middle and had a fun interaction together that was caught on video.

image

He actually almost walked away from me after Shari got her picture but I was like “hey” and he came back, everything worked out and no punches had to be thrown.

During all of this the ladies, like a heard of sheep came out all fresh and so clean-clean. Some went to the bus and never came out and some went to drop their bags off and then worked down the line.

First gal that made an appearance¬†I think was Jacquie¬†Lee (Season 5) and I didn’t know it was her. She had come from the back of the line and when she got closer she was all¬†energetic and running around, I almost punched her in the throat because I thought she was a line jumper. I quickly calmed down when I realized she was signing ticket stubs and taking pictures. She was adorbs and very nice, I’m glad I didn’t take her out with my karate chop.

image

I look like a chooch standing next to her but whateves at least I got to meet her.

I do believe during this time Tes came out but she was only waving and you could tell wanted noting to do with her fans as she tried to back away. There was this one woman who was hanging out in the back and when Tes came out she was all over that shit, she pushed through and gave Tes a big hug. I’m assuming they knew each other¬†and then after that she left. By this time Tes got sucked into the crowd and not to appear as a giant dick took a few pictures with people but still trying to rush back. She was getting close to us so we thought oh cool this might happen but then Christina Grimmie (Season 6) came running out towards us and everyone went wild. She came right over to Shari and I first and was pretty cool, we shared a few moments. During all of this Tes had slipped away and made it back to her safety zone but that was fine, I’d rather have met Christina over her anyways.

image

The bright building lights make for a sexy effect on the picture, even with my cheesy grin.

So we got what we needed from her and then waited for the other two to come out but rumors were flying around that they weren’t. ¬†I’m not sure which story belongs to whom but one girl was visiting with her family and had left only to return later and then the other was on an intense phone call and couldn’t come out. That’s all I know and our security friend told us they were shutting it down anyways so Shari and I called it quits.

We ended up getting home later than we wanted to but the outcome was worth it, we met some new friends and had a nice time. The weather held off and was actually warm and dry which made for an easy stalking.

I got them all to sign my printer paper, haha.

It’s pretty ghetto but it does the trick.

Thanks to The Playhouse Square for putting up with us and for the performers of The Voice Tour.

Much thanks to our fans, please continue to stop back and enjoy our journey. Much love!!

Paul Reiser

I had added Paul Reiser to the calendar but wasn’t 100% sure if I’d be able to snag him this time around, especially since we were already seeing Kevin Pollak.¬†

Good thing we did though, because Kevin told the audience¬†to check out Paul and well… that peaked¬†my curiosity a smidge more.

You probably know Mr.Reiser from his 1990’s TV sitcom role as Paul Buchman starring next to Helen Hunt in Mad About You. Or most recently his role as the doctor in Stranger Things 2.

Fast forward¬†to Saturday I went into work to do a little overtime and did some research on the ticket price of Paul’s show and to see if any were¬†still available.

The show was not sold out and prices were decent enough so I kept that in the back of my mind.

I got home and wanted to sleep for days but my husband convinced me to leave the house and see a movie.

I asked if he wanted to go to a show after and of course depending how late it would be and how we would feel. He was totally up for it so I called Hilarities and purchased two tickets,¬†with Kevin’s blessing of course.

The show was at 7 and we got there about ten till, picked our tickets up from will call and got seated in the exact same seats we sat at when we saw Kevin Pollak.

Paul was a great comedian, Pat and I both had a really good time.  Pat said he was better than the last 3 comedians we saw, so I was glad we dragged our wilted bodies out for a nice night.

Let me say this though, I enjoyed myself but it could have been better and this is why. To make my blog successful I want pictures and videos to share with everyone and so my focus is usually on trying to secretly record.

This particular time I was more nervous, people were¬†behind me and I didn’t want to get caught.

With it being so dark in the room¬†the light from my camera would be overpowering and I didn’t want to blind anyone or draw more attention to myself,¬†but like the last time I was able to cover the screen light with something and record without any problems.

I waited too long to get ready and Paul was already on stage. This is where I want to get the act on camera (and I just want a couple of minutes, I am not here to record the whole thing and sell it on the internet later) because 9 times out of 10 they are going to talk about Cleveland and he did.

He mentioned LeBron and The Browns, the snow and when he was here last. So as this is going on my anxiety is off the charts because I failed to get the good stuff.

Now all I can think¬†about is how can I get my camera setup and begin recording again but at this point I’m hardly paying attention to the show.

I was able to get the¬†camera ready but because my battery was not charged it kept shutting off¬†and of course I didn’t realize¬†it right away.

I then tried my phone but that also shut down so pretty much I spent the whole time worrying about getting footage instead of having a good time.

Warning!

There are no recording devices allowed during any of the shows, please don’t do as I do.

Moving on.

Paul met up with fans after the show and well you know me, I got right in line.

Pat was ready with the camera¬†but that¬†wouldn’t stay on longer than 30 seconds because the battery was dead, but as a¬†back up¬†I put my phone on record and secretly aimed it at him to get our interactions on video.

Deep Breath!

I¬†walk up to him and this time I decided to¬†grow some balls and ask¬†Paul to give¬†a shout out¬†to the blog, I figured… what did I have to lose?

He seemed like a cool guy so I gave it a shot and boy was I wrong, he declined… nicely so I kind of let that slide. The video is below.

It is what it is, I just picked the wrong guy to ask, but you have to take risks… and I did.

Paul was very nice though, he wasn’t a dick about it and still managed to put up with me long enough for a photo-op.

At one point and I don’t think it’s on camera (because I was recording on the¬†“Down low” and it was aimed off to the side only getting half of his face but when I asked for the shout out he looked down at the phone as if he knew I was recording it) but I think I played it cool enough and didn’t raise anymore red flags.

There’s more?

Then before everything was said and done I asked for him to sign my ticket stub, he did but signed the back.

image

The picture came out pretty good and I love my camera but the flash is one of those that pops up on the top, right as you click the button to take the picture.

Great but not so great because that is usually where your finger is holding the camera so when it shoots up, it hits your finger and doesn’t¬†deploy all the way (that’s if it doesn’t startle you and you drop it first), not flashing and not taking the picture.

So I always have to say, one more time and usually¬†the person getting the picture done with me knows “ok, the flash didn’t go off so something didn’t work” and they let a second picture take place.

I know, this is really useless information but It happened with Paul and since this blog is about him I feel it necessary to share.

image

Why does it look like I’m smuggling two giant babies in my shirt?

I think he looks pretty good, and his back was super sweaty. I remember like rubbing my hand in it, not sure why I got that involved in all of that but I did.

We thanked each other and then went our separate ways, he had another show and Pat and I headed upstairs and indulged in some dinner.

I signed up for a bonus type card from Pickwick and Frolic where you can earn points per dollar you spend there and they sent us free parking and $25.00 towards a menu item so we took advantage of some good eats.

Pat got the steak and I got a pizza, mine was delicious and crispy and Pat said his meat was awesome.

We had a very good evening all around!

A special shout out to Pickwick and Frolic, the atmosphere is one of a kind and always welcoming. Check out Hilarities upcoming acts and don’t forget to stop and get a bite to eat before you fill your bellies with laughs.

Well folks that is all for this one, I hope you enjoyed it.

Please spread the word by SHARING, LIKING, COMMENTING, and maybe SCREAMING it from the rooftops.

Thank you for all of your continuous support, much love and STALK ON!!

Frank Caliendo

Hello! Thank you for stopping by today, it means a lot. Now, down to business.

If your read my latest blog (and I hope you did) it was about how I met Kevin Pollak, I mentioned Frank in there a few times because both shows were at the same place within 24 hours of each other. Lucky for me I was able to make them both happen, but it was hard.

Ok. So here we go. Frank was a special¬†guest, he had 1 performance on Fathers Day that got sold out which lead him to add a 2nd show later that night. Pat and I were going back and forth¬†whether or not to see him or Kevin Pollak, going to see a show is easier because then Pat is more likely¬†to tag along. Normally Pat does not attended¬†these stalking parties but plans fell through and I needed someone to go with me and with the casino so close by we usually¬†make a night of it and do a little gambling, this makes everyone happy. But when I looked up prices for Frank’s show I realized both were sold out and kinda got bummed seeing as I would have rather seen him than Kevin. So like the little creeper I am I tried to make contact with Frank on Twitter and he RESPONDED!

Caliendo

So I took him on his word, called up there and lucky for me they had a few seats for $35.00 up in the balcony, but before I could make a decision we got disconnected. This was fine because I needed to double-check¬†with Pat and at this time I looked up what it would cost for the two of us to go to both¬† shows ( Frank and Kevin), it was looking like $125.00. I needed to think about it and thus I hopped into the shower to regroup, upon washing my hair I came up with my final decision. I would go see Frank’s show instead, for a few reasons. 1) He responded to my tweets, Kevin never did. 2)We knew what kind of act he was going to do and the both of us knew we would like it and 3) I think it would have been easier for the stalk. I got onto the phone to order our tickets and found out they were COMPLETELY SOLD OUT, I was like I just talked to someone less than 40 minutes ago. Now¬†I was¬†really bummed and my whole plan went out the window, so I just sat there. Finally I decided to get tickets to see Kevin instead and just do a drive by tomorrow for Frank.

Saturday night was fun and Kevin Pollak¬†did a wonderful job, Pat and I hit the casino and got home around 2am. We were up pretty early the next day and hung out at the beach for a few hours (Frank never showed)¬†before we headed home to freshen up for the evening.¬† By now Pat really didn’t want to go with me¬† back up to Cleveland but he wasn’t going to let me go alone, so I called my mom who agreed to accompany¬†me. However Pat went with us so he could go to the casino while the two of us stalked, even though I’m 30 he still doesn’t¬†trust me walking the darks streets of downtown by myself. Anyways. he dropped mom and I off and we figured we would just hit the downstairs bar, which is right by where the audience members and actors come out at the end of the night but when we got there to our surprise it was not open. Mom and I waited outside, it was a beautiful night so we didn’t mind.¬† From where we were standing you can see the people come out and knew the show was over so all we had to do was keep and eye on that and sneak right in.

While we were standing there one of the workers, probably a manager¬†(he was dressed nice) said to me “two nights in a row?” I told him I was obsessed but he said that was fine and that they always want people down here, I informed him I¬†couldn’t get tickets but that Frank said he would meet with people afterwards, the guy agreed smiled and left. I at least felt good because he didn’t tell me to leave or stopped me from going inside so we were flying high. PLUS, he was the same guy from the night before when I met Kevin –¬† he said “You finally got your guy!” and then he remembered me the next night so that was super cool.

We waited probably another 6-10 minutes, it wasn’t long at all when people started filling¬†out the door and into the street. I gave mom the look and we both walked in and fought our way down the stairs as people were trying to go up, no one was hurt. We got down there and it was busy, I looked around and noticed there was a line and barricades¬†leading people like cattle from the one door all around to where Mr.Caliendo was, I panicked for a minuet. We walked inside a little bit more and my friend from outside was standing by the ropes he said ‘This way to Frank” smiled and let mom and I through¬†where we joined the herd¬†of people and waited for our turn. Pretty sweet. While we were waiting I tried to get some video for the blog but it’s pretty shotty, it was such a crowded place that it’s filled mostly with the backs of people’s¬†heads. Plus I swear Frank kept looking at me and I didn’t want to be too obvious with my camera skills so I toned it down a bit but if you care to take a peek the video is below for your viewing pleasure.

Mom brought her tablet to also take pictures and videos but she is still in the learning process and like mother like daughter we panic and don’t think. So this is what went down. I was recording and some guy that was behind us kinda of scooted to the front, he asked if we were ready or if it was ok he went. I told him to go and offered to take his picture for him, he kindly agreed. At this point mother should be recording and I don’t think she was or did and I haven’t heard or seen anything from her but I don’t think so (Plus we really didn’t discuss what we should do, we just cry about it later). What’s cool with her device¬†is that you can record and also take stills at the same time but we forgot all about that. So, after the guy left Frank looked up and said “Hey, the tweeter!” I responded “That’s me or It’s me” I don’t quite know but I walked up and gave him an awkward¬†hug. He asked if I ended up getting tickets to his next show and I told him the story of my procrastination¬†and then we turned¬†to take the picture. I handed my camera to my mom, nervous¬†because she’s not the¬†best at working it. We stood together and smiled, the flash button popped up but it never took the picture. I was like try one more, Frank was¬†like “PUSH the button” and her response was ‘This one?” and¬†¬†tried pushing down the actual flash itself.. Oh mother. finally she got it to take and the whole time I kept whispering to Frank, she’s gonna break it. LOL – ¬†Love you Mom.

image

The picture came out really good, minus the fact I look pregnant.

I asked Frank to sign my scrap paper¬†I brought¬†from home, I said it’s all I had since I didn’t have an actual ticket. ¬†I asked if he could it out to “Lauren” and then started rambling and apologizing¬†for being annoying. He asked how to spell my name but at the same time I was trying to get the camera ready to capture that on film but I was like.. “L -A…..” (10 minuet pause)¬†he was like… “UREN” Yup, mom was even like.. “Ahh, duh” I again apologized¬†he then spoke up to one of his people asking if he gave us one of his cards, he said no and handed one to us. Frank informed us that if we TEXT the picture to that # he will sign it and mail it back, I was like WHAT? That’s ridiculous. Anyways. We thanked him a million more times and left. He was super friendly and super cute, I think I told him he looked good when I gave him the hug.

Really wish I would have gotten our interaction on film, maybe next time.

Well folks, what I thought was going to be a bust turned out to be a very happy ending. I got what I wanted to accomplish, it took a little bit more effort on my part but it was all very much worth it.

SPECIAL THANKS to Hilarities –¬† Great food and Great people!

Thanks to Frank Caliendo for putting up with me!

AND –¬† Thanks to all of you, please continue to read and ENJOY!

Diana DeGarmo & Ace Young

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor¬†Dreamcoat¬†came to Ohio on March 4th¬†-16th, 2014¬†at Cleveland’s¬†Playhouse Square, the two main performers¬†were Diana DeGarmo¬†as the narrator and Ace Young as Joseph.

Both from American idol,  Diana came onto the scene in the 3rd season and Ace popped in on the 5th season. The two  became engaged on May 23rd, 2012 after Ace surprised Diana with a ring on the American Idol season 11 finale.

Below is how I met the two, enjoy!

I like to perform in plays but have never really been a huge fan of going to watch them so I had decided to skip out on this one. Shari had bought tickets to a Sunday night performance for her and a friend, she was going to meet the cast afterwards. However her date for the show did NOT want to stick around afterwards so Shari called in the recruits.. me. Sunday night was bad for me especially with work early the next morning so I was up in the air about it. If I could get Pat to come with then it would have been easier to go but we still had a few days to think about it and I told her I¬†would get back to her. Then plans changed again, Shari decided to go up Saturday and try to meet Diana and Ace and¬†once again invited me to go along. It’s really hard for me to turn down a good stalk but Pat and I had plans and didn’t know where we would be at that time, we would play it by ear. Saturday came and went and I totally forgot about the possible plans until I saw Shari’s Facebook photo’s of her and the two. She went up Saturday night all by herself and stood in the cold dark streets of Cleveland waiting for the show to end. When they came out, she was able to get pictures and autograph’s. They even walked her to her car, the¬†sweet people they are.

Now I am all like … “man, I wish I would have went” so I pouted for a minute until Shari informed me they were here for a whole nother week and that she would love to meet them again. So we made plans to head out to Cleveland Thursday night and do a quick snag.

The funny thing is after Sundays show, Shari and her friend accidentally ran into Ace and Diana walking to Starbucks afterwards and got a few mores pictures and autographs.

Now fast forward to Thursday.

I worked till about 4 and then met Shari for dinner around 7 at Fridays, we had a nice time catching up. Shortly after 8 we packed up and headed downtown, found a nice spot to park and then hit the Playhouse. We were early and decided to take a walk to Starbucks, it was dark inside and the sign read closed. Very odd for it to be closed that early, especially in Cleveland when there were things going on. So we walked back and decided to wait it out, luckily for us the crowd had started to exit. We found the stage door and slipped inside and off of the sidewalk to try to block some of the wind from slowly killing us. It was literally freezing and I had my tennis shoes on with that breath type material, all of my toes went numb and to the point where it hurt to stand on them. I started jogging in place but that only seemed to warm my upper body up and was doing nothing for my feet. during all of this a mother and her daughter came by and actually walked past us and down into the building, they were kicked out and joined us in the frozen wastelands along with another couple.

Shortly after that the two former Idol contestants came out, there was not much wait time between the show ending and their exit.

Right off the bat they started to talk, shake hands, hug, and greet the 6 of us that were out there. I, like the creeper I am stood off to the side and began recording.

Below is the video of Ace and Diana walking out and then their interaction with everyone, it is two separate videos merged into one.

This video is a great way to show how two celebrities act, happy and unselfish as the camera secretly records.

I love how the camera gets close to them, you can see Ace talking to me after I dropped my pictures on the ground how Diana called me a lovely lady and asked to borrow my sharpie again. Diana after meeting Shari for the 3rd time remembers her name and how to spell it, priceless! These are things that make standing out on the cold streets of Cleveland all worthwhile and we love every minute of it.

Notice right in the beginning how Ace stops and lets Diana walk a head of him, what a gentleman. They both head their separate ways talking to everyone and then make their way to the street and eventually back to the hotel.

A couple of things¬†I like to point out which is something I am good at doing…pointing things out, if it seems like I am acting¬†salty it’s because I am. I want this blog to be a success and by that I have to put forth a lot of effort and time to get it to come together, that also means to take pictures and videos as things are going down. My problem with this whole situation is that when I am recording, I usually¬†get left behind and by that I don’t get to fully interact with the celebrities. In this instance I stand-off¬†to the side and record, casually smiling and throwing out 1 liners here and there without revealing the fact that I am recording. This also means you will rarely see me on camera and you¬†are constantly hearing my horrible voice all loud and slutty coming out of the speakers.¬†It’s a tough job and¬†someone has to do it, right? RIGHT!

The security was being very nice about it but she was also being very pushy, she kept telling me if I wanted a picture I would have to jump into one with a complete stranger to make things go by quicker ( you might even be able to hear it on the video). I agreed but took my time getting there, I don’t want to upset anyone but I am also not going to have a bunch of randoms in my picture with me either. During all of this I did manage to get my playbill signed, thanks to Shari and all while still recording.

image

image

Finally it seemed like it was my turn to get a picture, pretty much now or never so I jumped in with Shari (at least I knew her) but of course I am off to the side and look like a chach¬†(I am never happy) and then.. get this. I think this is what sets me off, so in the beginning¬†the younger girl gets like 2 pictures with the couple and then at the end her mother was like can I get one too and the nice people that¬†they are allow another fan to get a picture EVEN with the pushy security. So, I have come to the realization that it is ME, I am the problem here. All I had to do was ask “hey can I get one?” but no, I was worried about making them mad or holding them up and therefore¬†am the only one without a solo picture. I don’t think the two would have¬†had a problem as they were very kind and patient and the best part is, the security¬†wasn’t¬†even walking them back to their hotel she just wanted them out of the Playhouse area. So you mean to tell me we could have walked 3 more feet out onto the street and I could have had a little bit more time and not felt rushed about getting a picture with them? Probably, another lesson learned. However I did get a picture and I did get to meet them, get an autograph and some nice video so all in all¬†it was more than a success. I just want everything to be perfect and in life ¬†that is hard to come by, so from here on out I am going to try to be more forward and less of the wallflower. ūüôā

Thanks to The Playhouse square and to the great couple Diana and Ace for hanging out in the cold with a bunch of crazy fans!

And to all of YOU, please keep reading, sharing and commenting. Let me know if you have any ideas or thoughts, I would love to hear them.

STALK ON!

So today’s entry will be about my Mothers somewhat encounter with the funny Chelsea Handler on March 6th, 2014.

About 2 ¬†years ago for my mom’s birthday my sister and I got her tickets to see Miss. Handler at the Quicken Loans Area. We had a good time, I¬†was glad we went. I found out she was coming back again and thus we decided to get¬†Mom tickets and make a night out of it once more. However my sister couldn’t get off of work and¬†so¬†Mom and I went without¬†her but of course¬†she was greatly missed.¬†¬† ūüėČ

So the week of the show Mom found out that Chelsea was having a book signing at The Blue Rock Cafe in Hudson, Ohio and she planned on going. It was from 2-4 which was a good hour away from where I worked so I was unable to go, there was NO way I would make it in time. I figured I could try to scoop her up before the show and make up for not meeting her earlier in the day.

I had done some research and found out you had to almost pre-order her new book “Uganda¬†Be Kidding Me” to secure yourself an official spot and actually be able to get the book signed by her. I had given¬†Mom all the proper information and she made the call, paid $27.00 over the phone and was locked in.

Mom drove down there, she actually made a video of herself talking and explaining to our audience¬†where she was going and what she was about to do, you know¬†to help out¬†with my blog..¬†but I’m not sure if she will give me the video to post. ūüôā

She had arrived and it was pretty busy, music was playing and people were eating and drinking all around her. They gave people numbers and then called them when it was ready to get in line to get the book signed, mom recorded a little bit of others getting¬†Chelsea’s autograph and snagged a picture¬†as she waited.

Crappy thing though, security was super serious about taking pictures and videos of Chelsea past a¬†designated point and just like me, my mom gets nervous in certain situations. So while she was next in line she took out her kindle to take a picture but the security¬†guy kept standing in her way, blocking her view and at one point someone behind her gently gave her a shove which put her over the line just when she was going to try and take a good picture… she got yelled at. ūüôĀ

Not to mention she couldn’t get the camera on the kindle to work and the more she¬†tried the more nervous she got and didn’t get many photos and video. Plus you couldn’t get an actual¬†picture¬†with her (Which I thought was lame)¬†and¬†mom was told¬†she¬†could only¬†get the one book signed¬†and it had to be¬†her new¬†one. So mom had her 2 others books, tucked them¬†under her armpit and like a sad little¬†girl¬†made her way to the table. When she got there Chelsea¬†was like “Gimme¬†those” and signed all 3 of mom’s book, which she had made out to my¬†mother, my sister, and one for me.

Now that was super cool of her, props to Chelsea Handler for making my mom’s day.

After that mom sprinted out back to where the getaway vehicles were waiting patiently¬†for Chelsea to make her great escape, there were 3 fancy black cars. Mom was sure she was in one of them but didn’t know which one, she saw her friend the security guard and figured she was close by. Mom started recording to try to¬†catch something but all she got was a few people walking back and forth, the ground, and then the cars pulling away.

Mother was super bummed¬†she didn’t get as many pictures or videos like she wanted¬†BUT she did a great job anyways and I told her stalking takes time and practice.

later that night….

I picked mom up and we headed downtown to get a bite to eat, we invited Chelsea via Twitter to see if she wanted to join us but it must have gotten lost since she never showed. Dinner was very nice, parking was super sweet since I had the luxury of getting suits, I guess that also means you park in the close cool important people spots too.

At this point the suite was a surprise for my mom which I had to tell her about when she started to¬†panic telling¬†me I couldn’t park¬†here and¬†that we could get in trouble. When she found out her EYES lite up, she was overjoyed¬†and couldn’t wait to get inside. Upon our arrival¬†into¬†the arena we found out that Chelsea was also signing books there too afterwards, which was awesome but mom already drove super far and paid for a book and got autographs. Mom wanted to buy me a book so I could get to meet her this time around but I declined..after much thought, I had the book signed in my name but what I really wanted was a picture with her and that was off-limits. Mom wanted to try anyways, so she told the man she already bought a book and¬†could she just get a wristband to wait in line. The answer was no, you had to buy a book and this time around the price was $30. Mom was actually going to buy me one and I almost let her but I advised against it. Slowly we made out way to the suite and prepared¬†for an awesome show.

The comedian that opened for Chelsea, Josh Wolf¬†was really funny and actually made a lot of good points regarding balls and real life romantic moments.¬†Below is a picture, not my best plus I didn’t really take too many, I was to caught up in the show.

I wish I would have recorded his joke regarding Cleveland and our 24 hour season change, it was spot on.

Moving on…

Miss Chelsea Handler popped right on stage and not shortly after that had the whole place laughing.

Below is a video I took, it’s about 7 minutes long¬†and it¬†is the opening joke in which she mentions Cleveland and the Cavs in it. To respect whoever¬†wishes and not to break any laws, that was the only recording I took, so please enjoy!

I posted this video on YouTube about 2 weeks ago and it’s already at over 1,000 views, 11 thumbs up and 2 down. That doesn’t¬†seem like a lot but for me this is really exciting, thank you to whomever has watched it already.

Now, moving on.

The show was great, I thought she did a fantastic¬†job. You LOVE her or you HATE her, she has a very dry in your face sarcastic, one on one, story telling type of humor that I find priceless. She goes with the flow and tell’s ya how it is and speaks the truth..even about herself.

During her show she would show pictures to the audience, ya know so we could follow along better. I have a few of those but I am not sure if I should post them, I might try to get her permission through Twitter.

Anywho. Below are a few pictures I did take during her performance.

The young guy in this last picture was an audience member who was apparently drunk and wandering around, probably back and forth to the bathroom. She called him on stage and they had a few minutes of chatter with each other, it was entertaining and then she booted him back to his seat.

When the show ended mother and I made our way to where the book signing was going down, there were people everywhere. It was held outside in the lobby, there was a table and¬†they had ropes so people could get in line right before it. Books and wristbands were still being sold and once again I was torn with the thought of buying one, just so I could meet her. I was trying to think of ways to record her interacting with me¬†or how I could get a picture with her but I was coming up blank. I was also nervous¬†because there was security¬†and cops every 5 feet and then they started getting pushy and in people’s faces when they wouldn’t move back into a certain¬†spot. Mom and I wanted to wait it out so we could catch a glimpse¬†of her but it started getting ridicules. They would not let anyone stand across from the table or to the side and then altogether¬†they made an announcement that if you were not getting an autograph¬†you had to leave the building. I just decided¬†to leave, I wasn’t going to wait around and the line was very long. It was a Thursday work night and I had a feeling that line would be at least a good hour or so long and I wasn’t about to wait. So before we got clubbed¬†by some angry cop we left, got lost on the way home even with a¬†GPS (our Cleveland tradition) but made it out safely and to our beds.

That night I had a dream, this shows you how much I obsess over these things. The dream was about me thinking of different ways that I could have met Chelsea the night before and to my surprise it would have worked, well I’m pretty sure¬† it would have.

Ok! I would have bought a book, got a wristband and stood in line but I would have made sure I was at the very end. Let¬†people go in front of me without bringing too much attention to myself, thus staying as close to the end as possible. Then when it would be my turn to get the book signed I would ask for a picture and me being like the only one left in line she would have to, it’s the rule.

THAT or somewhat the same idea, I would try to be the last person but if not pretty damn close. I would set my phone to record and when she was done signing¬†I would turn around, get low and do a selfie. She would be bullied into smiling or at least fool her into¬†looking at the phone and since it was set to record I wouldn’t have to wait for it to focus or take the picture. I could then take a still shot of a good frame and viola my picture with Chelsea Handler PLUS I’d have some video too.

I think those would have been 2 good options and I could have even pulled the second one off anywhere in line, I’d just have to be quick and stealthy since I’d probably be thrown out or bashed in the head.

However since none of this happened and my chance is long gone, I can try to use this technique on future unsuspecting victims.

So folks, this is the end to my half a Chelsea Handler experience. I hope you’ve all enjoyed my story and will pass it on to many others in your travels.

Many thanks to Chelsea for coming to Cleveland, see ya the next time you come to town.

Also a super big thank you to all of YOU for reading my blog and helping me make it happen.
