Meeting Comedians Adam Sandler & Rob Schneider

Adam Sandler, a jack of all trades was in Cleveland Thursday night for his “100% Fresher” tour at Playhouse Square. A tour that stems around his Netflix show where he talks about his days on Saturday Night Live, relives a few of his favorite movie roles, tosses out some new jokes and of course a couple of old tunes.

Rob Schneider, another comic genius has been popping up with Sandler on his tour. Schneider who also has a Netflix series out called “Real Rob” which is filmed with his actual wife and going into its second season appeared in Cleveland with Sandler on Thursday night as well!

WE WENT STALKING

Thursday started off warmish and rainy, not ideal for a stalk but manageable. The rain had stopped during the day and the temperature was on our side for most of the night. The show started at around 8 p. m. and so we arrived a little after 8:30 p.m. to wait by the stage doors for when Sandler and Schneider exited.

A Mob Had Formed

A group of men “Ebayers we like to call them” had gathered with their clipboards and printed out glossy photos for the actors ready to pounce. Drunk concert goers had joined in on the fun and were being loud and obnoxious. Security asked people to move or line up against the wall to clear a path on the sidewalk but it wasn’t happening.

The Escape

Word spread that the two had already left and security was trying to get everyone to leave. Once our new friend confirmed with her source that the two snuck out a different entrance we called it quits but not before we made one more stop.

The Race to the Ritz

Chatter was that the comedians were staying at The Ritz – Carlton and so we did a drive by before heading home and found another small group waiting outside. Five dramatic minutes of looking for a safe, non-towing zone on top of what felt like a 45 minute parallel parking fiasco which resulted in the bottom of my car getting scuffed up we finally parked and made our way to the hotel doors.

Another Crowd / More Waiting

This group was small and less rowdy so we all waited patiently until a car pulled up. The vehicle was part of the Sandler crew but without the Sandler. A couple of guys were just dropping some luggage off and then were heading back out to meet up with Sandler and Schneider who were apparently having dinner. Once the car left the “Ebayers” all got in their vehicles and sped off after them, it was like a super lame Fast and Furious trailer.

I Can’t Feel My Toes.

We decided to stay back and wait. The wind had picked up significantly and the temperature had dropped, us four girls were sporting sweatshirts, wimpy hats and were huddled together for warmth. We all agreed that midnight would be the cutoff. However we ended getting the car and bringing it to the hotel entrance (there was room after everyone left) and sit inside with the heat on blast giving us the strength to wait a little longer.

It’s SHOWTIME

Within the short time it took to grab the car and pull around, Adam and the gang were making their way back and had turned the corner within a minuter or two. I jumped from the car and secured my spot by the roped off area and waited for the guys to emerge.

WATCH: Sandler and Schneider Appear.

I didn’t expect Adam to come right out and sign autographs so I was unprepared.

Phone was set to record because I figured the duo would just walk right past us and I wanted to at least have video of them getting out of the car for the blog. When Sandler instantly approached everyone I began to fumble around. Rob stayed back and watched from a distance.

I wanted to film, get all the autographs and take a selfie but I only had two shaky hands and almost missed my opportunity.

Lucky for me I had my mylar (a movie prop that goes above the theater door letting you know what movie is in there) of Anger Management and my little autograph book out and ready but my Anger Management DVD was in my book bag.

I really only wanted a picture with the guys and was caught off guard when Adam literally signed EVERYTHING for EVERYONE.

He signed the mylar and then asked if I wanted him to sign my book too, as I was opening it up it fell to the ground and as I went to pick it up the mylar took flight and headed down the fucking street.

It was one of those scenes where every time I went to grab it, it would blow a few more feet further down the road, it was like a dollar on a string. I hated my life.

Finally the mylar landed against the wall of the hotel and I was able to snag it, I casually walked back towards the group after causing such a ruckus and just stood behind Sandler. To my right, Rob Schneider.

Selfies with Schneider

I said hello and asked him for a picture, which as you can see he gladly obliged. We shook hands and I thanked him. I also apologized for how cold my hands were, he agreed and held my one palm warming it up. We made idol chit chat until Adam was done with everyone else and I quickly snagged him for a picture before they both darted into the lobby never to be seen again but not before I shouted “I love you”…

I do and say stupid things when I get nervous.

Adam Sandler with the last selfie of the night.

It was a long, cold evening but a very successful one at that.

Much thanks to the Playhouse for their patience and to the Ritz for allowing our small group to gather outside.

But the biggest thanks of all goes out to Adam and Rob, what great people. I know it was a long day and the last thing you wanted to do was deal with a bunch of weirdos freezing to death out on the streets of Cleveland but you did and by doing that you made this girls year!

Kisses to all that followed along to the end, I appreciate you!

Stalk ya later!

Welcome To Collinwood

WELCOME TO COLLINWOOD -THE MOVIE FILMED IN MY BACKYARD!

A little over 17 years ago a group of actors came to my neck of the woods and filmed a movie. Joe and Anthony Russo, two brothers who were raised in Cleveland and went to Case Western Reserve to begin their journey in the film industry. They got noticed by Steven Soderbergeh who wanted to produce their next film with the help of George Clooney, his producing partner.

I was born and raised in Collinwood, a neighborhood on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. Not much went down but when it did the news spread quickly.

A friend I went to grade school with, her father worked for the city. I had the inside scoop on dates, times and locations for the filming of (cue dramatic music) Welcome To Collinwood.

One of the locations was filmed on Broadway and East 55th.

You can read about the movie and its actors here.

There’s not much I can remember because it was very long ago, long before my eyebrows were tame and I cared about my appearance.

I believe I went down two or three separate times, on one occasion I had my mom write me a note and I skipped out of school a half a day. Totally worth it. She was actually very involved and had a great time as she mingled with Anthony Russo.

Along with my mother came my good friend Brett, who I cropped out of the majority of the pictures for fear of infringing on his privacy. I don’t think he would care but that was a long time ago and we have both went our separate ways.

LET’S BEGIN

I’ll go into who I met and what memories I have of that interaction, don’t get excited it’s not much but the pictures alone speak a thousand words and in no particular order here they are.

Gabrielle Union and Andy Davoli

The picture above is Andy signing his name for me, the sheet of paper also has Gabrielle, Anthony, and Joe’s signature on it as well.

On one of the days we got to see them actually film, it was very neat and they did a raffle to have some of the neighborhood kids help with the lighting or something.  I took a few pictures and you can see how the camera is on a track and how everyone around is working hard.

What was neat about this scene was that it was actually on one of the streets only a few blocks down from where I was living at the time, right smack dab in the middle of the neighborhood. Click action shots to see some of the pictures.

Here I am with Anthony

Here I am with Joe and a shot of him signing my paper.

We had went down there one day and got the autographs on the yellow paper and on our next visit to the set I brought this news clipping and had them sign it as well.

Joe and Anthony were very nice, approachable and took the time to talk on both occasions, take pictures, sign autographs and act like total gentleman.

DAY #2

We went down the next day, still a bit chilly and with some added rain but it didn’t stop us from getting the job done.

This time around I looked a little more presentable with my Billabong shirt and matching blue sun glasses.

Keep scrolling to see what celebrities I met next.

As the actors walked back and forth from building to building and across the street I was able to grab a few. Below is Isaiah Washington, great guy making the time to stop IN THE RAIN, take a picture and sign the back of my school release slip. 😉

We snagged Isaiah later to make sure my friend Brett got an autograph too.

Next up… George Clooney! He seemed to be the more popular actor in town and always appeared to have a crowd around him.

I got my picture with George I think after the mob of people, it was more quiet and secluded as my friend and I just waited patiently for him to pass by.

It happened quickly and as we were sitting against the building he showed up and I didn’t have my glossy head shot of him to sign for my grandma handy. However I was camera ready and chose to get the picture instead, good choice.

Not sure if it was before or after the picture but I remember looking at his neck, pointing and possibly even touching him asked if those tattoos were real, he informed me they were not. ((Giggles))

Not pictured in this blog but I have some shitty shots of George shooting hoops during breaks in filming, he literally had a black tank and blue shorts on. Pretty sure it was chilly out there but when you’re as hot as George Clooney you don’t get cold.

Next up is one of my favorites, I couldn’t find the picture of him and it was driving me crazy as I thought maybe I didn’t meet him like I thought I did. After a little more digging I found what I was looking for, fest your eyes on William H. Macy!!

What was really cool was that my friend and I just hung out by the door, we gave him his space and just watched as he (what I’m assuming was) listened to his lines from a tape recorder. Check out the newspaper page below of William, you can see his signature going across his leg on the right.

And last but not least… Sam Rockwell who we grabbed at the end of the day.

Below is his autograph on a typical piece of notebook paper.

I did get a few shots of Michael Jeter but never an autograph or one together, sadly he passed away in 2003 of natural causes after living with HIV.

There you have it folks one of the most exciting, fulfilling, successful stalks I have ever done and one of the FIRST! It’s funny looking back how easy and calm it was, I hardly remember much security as I know there was some, but it was very lax. Now you can’t even get that close and the majority of the celebrities don’t have time to hang around and chit-chat.

I appreciated it then and even more now at the opportunity to have been a part of the action, even if it was for only a couple of days for a few hours.

I want to send a LATE thank you to the city of Cleveland, The Russo Brothers and all the actors, workers, and crew who came into our town and made it memorable.

If you had a good time reading this blog go ahead and follow me on Twitter or Instagram, I promise to be entertaining and hilarious.

Thank you for stopping by! STALK ON!

An absence in stalking.

Hello fellow stalkers,

Have you missed me? Probably not.

I’ve been on Twitter for quite some time now but I have currently started interacting with fellow bloggers. I want to start daily (LOL) blogging about feelings and crap and it might not ALL be about the “stalkin'”, however my intentions are to keep it close if I can.

Let’s start off by filling everyone in real quick… eh?

2 years ago I promised you blogs on the following

  • Finesse Mitchell
  • Joe Machi and John Crist
  • Shawn Colvin
  • Sean Hurwitz
  • Tom Papa
  • John Caparulo
  • Mike Armstrong and Herbie Gill
  • T.L.C. and Nacho Extreme
  • Amy Schumer

Took this Engagement like photo with Finesse Mitchell back in 2015 after he performed at Hilarities.

My gal pal Holly and I getting all snuggles with comedian Joe Machi after his show. I then jumped in with John Crist (white guy) annnd I don’t know the other guys name, they were the opening acts at Hilarities back in 2015.

Singer Shawn Colvin after her performance in New York for the Lincoln Center Out of Doors concert back in 2015. It was a free concert, we were actually there to snag Fiona Apple but she slipped through the cracks.

Sean Hurwitz from Smash Mouth and singer Suzi Oravec performed at Scenes Pig and Whiskey festival in Willoughby back in 2015.

  • Tried to get the lead singer but he disappeared, Sean was nice enough to stick around and meet all the fans. He even interacted with a child.
  • Suzi is a Cleveland gal that sings country and was a blast to take pictures with.

Comedian Tom Papa after his act at Hilarities back in 2015.

Smiles with John Caparulo after his comedy act back in 2015 at Hilarities.

Comedians Mike Armstrong and Herbie Gill after their act back in 2015 at the HardRock Casino.

The beautiful ladies of TLC, Chilli and T-Boz and then with Nacho Extreme, good friends and security on The WahlBurgers.

  • Shari and I went to the concert, it was TLC, NKOTB, and Nelly.
  • Paid $99 for meet and greet passes, no stalking was involved for TLC.
  • Barley House in Cleveland had an event after the concert, rumors of the NKOTB clan would be there. $10 cover charge, stayed awhile but there was no signs of the boy band. Did get to meet Henry Nacho from The Wahlburgers, not a total loss.

Stalker in crime Shari grinning ear to ear with Amy Schumer after her comedy act at Playhouse Square back in 2015.

  • I was supposed to be at this show but she had rescheduled the original date and the new one fell when I was on vacation.
  • Definitely one I regret, because Amy is hilarious as balls. I loved her on season 5 of last comic standing a million years ago and have been a fan since.
  • She did an HBO special, pictures and video from her meeting Shari in Cleveland made it on the opening credits. I have video of it somewhere…it will probably never get posted. 🙁

A couple extras that happened after the fact.

Bobby Collins was a delight to meet, the comedian took pictures after his show at Hilarities.

The below collage of photos took place at The Lake County Captains, Cleveland Sports History Night

Former Indians player Ellis Burks.

Former Cavaliers  Jim Chones.

A couple of failed stalks include:

  • Chris Rock / Total Blackout Tour. It was a cold and rainy day. We drove down to Cleveland before the show, PAID to park and waited for Chris to arrive at the Playhouse Square. 3 of us huddled under 1 umbrella that was now turned upside down from the dramatic winds. At one point we ran back to our car because the rain was soo heavy, but when we saw a car pull up we darted back across the street to try for the stalk. Pretty sure it was Chris, I don’t remember if we saw him get out or not. We left shortly after, drenched and defeated.
  • Shari went back the next day and tried again, this time I do believe she saw Chris but he kept on walking.
  • Found out Dave Chappelle, Arsenio Hall, and Ardie Fuqua were all surprise guests on this particular night in Cleveland.
  • Hall who is a Cleveland native tweeted about his experience.

  • Howie Mandel. Performed at the Hardrock Rocksino last year about this time.
  • We got there early to catch him before the show. He pulled up, pretended he was on his phone and walked by…NEVER even looked up to acknowledged us. It was rude.

  • Mary J. Blige / Strength of a Woman Tour. Performed at the Hardrock Rocksino.
  • Got there early, missed her going in. Stayed till the end of the show but security pushed us SOOO FAR BACK we didn’t stand a chance. Saw what we thought was her leave, get in the bus we thought was hers annnnd… jumped in our car to follow until our exit came up. Went home tired and defeated.

Some upcoming stalks include:

  • Johnny Mathis. I’ve been a fan of Johnny since I was a child, on Christmas Eve we’d all sing along to his Christmas VHS tape. His Christmas album is one of my favorites and I listen to it religiously during the holidays.
  • Johnny has been performing at the Playhouse Square for quite some time now when I finally realized it was time for a stalk.
  • A few years back…Hanson was also performing the night Johnny was and we decided to make it a 2 for 1, snag Hanson (At HOB) before the show super early and then hit up Johnny at the Playhouse. However Hanson came out later than usual and by the time we made it back to the Playhouse Johnny was already inside. We waited for a little, tried to get some of the workers to get him to come out but it never happened. Unfortunately, we were also seeing the Hanson show (and still had to snag the two other brothers) that we could not come back for Johnny.
  • Fast forward. Johnny will be back in Cleveland Friday, November 3rd. With such short notice, little money, and an early volleyball game I don’t think I am going to make it this time around either. I was actually looking forward to going to the show as he will be performing his new album The Great New American Songbook.

  • Nick Offerman / Full Bush Tour. He will be at the Playhouse Square on November 19th, I’d actually really like to see the show. I am working on getting tickets now but if not, I’d love to meet Nick, he’s hilarious.

  • Fred Willard / An Evening with Fred Willard. Another Playhouse Square performer, he will be in Cleveland on December 30th.
  • Ticket prices are $18 in advance and $20 at the door, seems very reasonable.
  • “We’re extremely proud to have comedy legend and Shaker Heights native Fred Willard joining us for the 2017 Cleveland Comedy Festival for a fun and engaging evening that celebrates his amazing career in film, TV, sketch and improv comedy.  The show will feature video clips from Fred’s most notable appearances as well as open, un-scripted conversation with Fred facilitated by WCPN Sound of Ideas host and Plain Dealer columnist Mike McIntyre.  You know Fred, you love Fred, join us in the Outcalt Theatre for a great evening with America’s favorite comedic everyman.” – Playhouse Square

These are just to name a few as there are others I have yet to fully look over and put down on paper.

Scheduling is hard.

Cleveland is far.

Parking isn’t cheap.

Above are some of the conflicts I am faced with when deciding on my next victim, but with a little better planning and a positive attitude anything is possible.

Once again, thank you for you time.

Don’t forget to SHARE, LIKE, and COMMENT.

America’s Got Talent Live Tour

America’s Got Talent comes to Cleveland.

GETTING THE TICKETS

Patrick (my husband, for those of you that don’t know) and I bought our tickets pretty quickly after they went on sale.

We had seriously considered buying the Meet and Greet package but money was tight and I believe those tickets were around $99.

We decided to wait it out and see where we were with money when it got closer.

As you can see below, Taylor was pretty excited for us too.

image

Flash forward to that night, Pat and I had donated enough plasma to enjoy the buffet at the Hard Rock Roscksino and dabble in a little gambling.

The buffet line was atrocious and by the time we got seated it was after 7 AND the show started at 8, but we inhaled our food and made it just in time.

It was very exciting for me because I have been a fan of the show since the beginning and absolutely loved Taylor and Emily, so being able to see them perform was a treat.

The seats were not THAT bad but the set up of them was stupid, they had folding chairs zip tied together on what seemed like a basketball court.

No stadium seating, hard to see in front of you and it was pretty cramped, but lucky for me there were a couple of screens off to the side I was able to watch when my neck got old and tired.

The first half of the show seemed to go by pretty quickly but it was very entertaining, especially since the old lady behind me kept going “Oooh, oh…ooh..oh.. how’d he do that?. Oooh, ooh” She then bitched that Emily sucked and the show wasn’t worth $90, they got up at intermission and never came back. Good riddance, I say!

Tomas de la Cruz, also know as “Smoothini” the Ghetto Houdini performed the close up magic tricks and was outstanding.

Very outgoing and had the crowed in awe every time he was on stage. During intermission he was walking around the crowd and talking to people, I just stared at him, fighting my nerves to run over there and get a quick picture.

Instead I just stood there until he disappeared out into the lobby, that’s when I finally got the courage and chased after him. I stood in the doorway and scanned the room with my eyes, looking for any signs of Smoothini.  Within a few seconds I spotted him talking with some people, so I scooted on over awkwardly.

One guy came up and asked for a picture, he said how him and his mom were huge fans and voted for him a million times.

That was my cue so I jumped in. “Hey” I said with too much energy, “I didn’t vote for you but can I get a picture anyways?” I blurted out. “I love your honesty” he replied and then we posed for a “stalkie” (new word curtsy of Kim B)

image

I had taken 2 pictures, he was on my left so I had a hard time taking them with my weak, less dominant hand and in the first pic he is looking one way and I am looking the other and then the other picture he is looking at the camera and I am not.

Silly story but necessary to share, I of course posted the one with me looking at the camera. 🙂

We interacted a bit more afterwards, he said something and I made a joke about playing cards appearing out of my ears or something. I’m sure it was hilarious.

I thanked him and said our goodbyes and then I stood in the corner scoping out the scene for any other celebrities that might be lurking around.

(Check out the video below to see Smoothini’s act.)

After a few minutes I made my way back and waited for the show to start back up. Taylor was funny, as always and won my heart from the beginning.

If I were to vote he would have gotten a few, same thing would have went for Emily who always gave me goosebumps, but we never watched the show live and were always days, sometimes weeks behind in watching.

Moving on.

The show ended and we waited for the crowd to thin out before we made our way into the lobby.

When we got inside I could see people taking pictures and I just knew there were celebrities around that corner.

Pat told me that he saw Taylor and Emily taking pictures and signing autographs with everyone.

Well, that was my cue to get nervous and ready, so we squished in with the peoples and waited.

As we waited my mouth started to dry up and panic started to rise in my chest, a nice lady that was standing next to us heard my pray to the mint Gods and she offered me some gum as long as I took her picture with Taylor.

Done. We started chitchatting, she was very nice and she gave me gum so she was my friend.

The line was moving pretty slowly but Taylor informed us he would get to everyone and apologized for the long wait.

I kept peeking over to make sure Emily was still there, her line wasn’t as long and I was afraid she would disappear before I got to her.

The few peoples in front of me had Taylor wish their kid a happy birthday on video and he did it without hesitation, this was my chance to have another blog shout out.

At this point I told Pat the plan and he rolled his eyes at me, I almost plucked them from his head but refrained because he was my camera guy.

Finally, Taylor and I were united. He came at me with open arms, and I embraced him, because I am also hugger.

He was a bit bony so I loosened up my grip a smidge in hopes I didn’t hurt him already.

I noticed he had a cute lil’ eyelash on his face and for most of our conversation that’s all I was thinking about.

Do I tell him, do I brush it away with my stranger fingers and make a wish? Or just stare at it and move on with my life, hoping one day it would go away and Taylor would once again be normal.

I went with option 3.

Below is our whole interaction, check it out and then we’ll talk some more afterwards.

Hi, what did you think? I loved it, I smile when I think about it. I feel it went really good, he was a total sport about it and I only looked half retarded.

That’s the downfall with having gum in my mouth, it looks very sloppy and unprofessional BUT on the upside my mouth was back to its normal moistness and it was also minty fresh.

My lame dancing and awkwardness was very noticeable, that’s just how I roll, but I’m sure Taylor thought it was super adorable.

And I’m pretty sure he liked me, he totally says ” You’re funny, I like you” in the video and videos don’t lie, unless he was lying… he wouldn’t lie?

Look how cute we are below.

He also, signed my ticket stub.

IMG_20151018_245244283

Can you see what he put? No?

Capture

“Lauren! My favorite Cleveland Stalker! Love, Taylor Williamson”

I’m just sayin’

Check out some more videos from Taylor below and his performance on America’s Got Talent.

We hugged again and then parted ways but not before I took 65 pictures of my new friend and Taylor like I promised.

Emily was still there but she looked like she was ready to bounce. My tiny woman crush was standing in front of me so I said hi and went in for a hug but she didn’t seem as welcoming as I was hoping.

She looked at me and was like “You want a signature” and of course I did, she saw that Taylor wrote my name so she confirmed that I was Lauren and then signed away, then we got in close for a picture.

image

It came out really good, and she looks happy to be there so maybe I was just being dramatic. I read on Twitter that she was sicker than a dog over the last few days so maybe that’s why she didn’t want to make out with me.

I  told Pat to jump in and get himself a little somethin’ somethin’.

IMG_20151017_224138490

How sweet!

Check out the video below of Emily’s performance on American’s Got Talent!

Well folks, that’s it for this gal and the American’s Got Talent crew.

We had a lot of fun, wasn’t sure what to expect with it being a variety act and in a venue we’ve never been to before but we enjoyed ourselves.

Everyone was super nice and patient, I couldn’t ask for anything else.

I am glad we went and glad we didn’t fork out the $$ to do the official meet and greet, I was able to snag a few and for free so that was tremendous.

Thank you again to Tomas, Taylor, and Emily for being amazing in every way, on and off the stage and of course the staff at the Hard Rock Rocksino.

Special thanks to all my fans, all 3 and of half of you!

Till next time!

STALK ON!

The Cleveland Guys

Hopefully you can all forgive me, and it’s not like I haven’t thought about you at all during my absence… it’s just… I’ve been busy annnd there really hasn’t been much going on.

So today I am going to give you a little surprise, why a surprise? Well because it was a surprise for me, it was an unplanned stalk but a stalk nonetheless.

Saturday (June 13th, 2015) a group of us went downtown to celebrate Shari’s 30th birthday, we ended up at The 9. Which is a pretty sweet place, I don’t get out much or hang out at the cool clubs downtown, especially the fancy rooftop ones. So I was pleasantly entertained, it was a bit cramped especially when you had to make your way past the bar and out to the ladies bathroom which was a smidge tiny. I say this because I had the bathroom door fly open and the handle embedded into my lower back on several occasions.

We were all all having a good time, one of us in particular, it was hard to tell if she was drunk or just a free spirit but either way I watched from a distance as she pliè’d across the open rooftop floor, twirling around and kicking imaginary flies out of the air.

My friend Jaime and I were debating whether to record her or not when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye and by something I meant someone…someone after my own heart. It was dark and he was dark but I could make out a figure in the shadows, he had moved from his place up against the wall, phone in hand and following our friend.

He was obviously recording her but then I recognized this man and I went into full stalk mode, I asked Jaime but she had no clue. So I did some research, I hated to interrupt his secret recording session for no reason and look like a fool but my suspensions were correct and thus I made my move.

I walked up to him, I had to move fast too because he was on a mission following this girl… and asked “Are you Ricky Smith? He said yes, I asked for a picture and he responded with “you’ll have to ask the camera” So of course I got all sassy and asked the camera. Shit!

He was super cool, we took a picture and I got to taste his palm. Then he wanted Jaime to jump in and we took a selfie, I panicked and made that awful creeper 2.0 face. I knew he was going to stick out his tongue and I wanted to too, well. We can’t ALL be perfect!

IMG_20150614_241339592 IMG_20150614_241407272

We talked for a bit, he asked a lot of questions and seemed legit interested in our personal lives. It was refreshing. He wanted to know how I knew who he was, I replied that I follow him on Instagram and know that he does a lot for our community.

Shari and Katie strolled over and everyone was introduced to everyone, we talked some more and then he was all about a photo shoot with my phone.

IMG_20150614_242423524 IMG_20150614_242442927 IMG_20150614_242502570 IMG_20150614_242524524

So, in order to take the picture all you have to do is touch the screen, there is not a set button you push… but first you have to have the phone facing the correct way. As you can see, it took Mr.Smith 4 times to get the perfect picture but he was super determined and I liked it. I can’t stand a blurry picture, especially if there is no chance for taking a better one. #Props

Below is a short clip of what Mr.Smith is all about, check it out.

During all of this I got to meet  DJ Stephen Floss, wasn’t sure who he was until I did a little Googling afterwards. It was fun, him and Ricky were trying to see who was more famous and kept track of how many people recognized them throughout the night.

He was nice and even let me take a picture with him, OH and he’s not that blurry in real life. Click on his name and it will take you to his YouTube page, he is the DJ for The Cavs and is pretty well known here in Cleveland.

Shari’s birthday was a success, we had a great time and met a lot of nice people.

Stay tuned for me.

STALK ON!

Harland Williams

HWilliams

Harland Williams

Hello!

You were probably wondering where myself and Shari have been this winter, well I assure you we have a few tricks up our sleeves. If you can hold on just a little longer I promise a few good adventures, but in the meantime please enjoy this easy stalk.

Harland was on the hit list for the month of April, he was scheduled to perform at Hilarities from Friday till Sunday so we had a few options. However a week ago I got the call that I won yet another 4 pack to an upcoming comedy show. Harland was one of the names on the list and I knew right away that’s who we were going to see, the downfall… only Friday night was available and that would mean I would have to miss volleyball. I was ok with that. 🙂 So I scrounged up a few people and we made our way downtown, it was a beautiful night. A little wet and a little chilly but it was Cleveland and it was April so we rolled with it.

We picked up our tickets and made our way down the stairs where some nice gentlemen escorted us to our seats, we ordered some food and a few dranks and prepared to laugh.

The opening act was a lovely, black lady. I don’t remember her name and never did get a picture with her but she was talented and very funny, she introduced the next guy. Some middle-aged white dude, at first…to me he seemed dry and I was nervous but he came too and I also enjoyed his comedy. He was hanging out back after the show, I thought about getting a picture with him but I already held my company up too long so I decided against it.

Finally Harland comes out and he did not disappoint.  He was probably one of the funniest if not funniest comedians I have seen there or ever. I never stopped laughing and actually had tears running down my face. There was even a few times where I had the creepy silent laugh and couldn’t breath. I even became that annoying laugher that people turned around to look at.  He interacted with the audience and never skipped a beat, it was like half the time he was making his act up on the spot and it was perfect. I clearly enjoyed myself and would absolutely go see him th next time he comes around.

At the end he was nice enough to meet his fans out in the lobby. First he was selling his shirt that he wore on stage. For most of the night I was focused on it trying to figure out what he said. Finally some whore he called out who was on her phone asked him the question.

The video above explains the shirt and you can purchase one from his site for $22, or you can get one at his shows for $20. 🙂

Anywho. He was selling the shirts first and signing autograph and when that was all done then he was taking pictures with the peeps. So my brother and I got in line, I had T.J. get the ticket signed so I can add it to my scrapbook and then I had Harland sign the cover of my Sorority Boys DVD. He was super cool about it, I got nervous because it was a DVD but he did it without hesitation.

When that was all said and done we waited to get our pictures with him, one of the workers was taking the pictures for Mr.Williams to keep things moving along. He took the picture and the flash never went off when I looked at it, it was a little blur… kinda like a turd flying through space.

IMG_20150410_211918005

I said something and Harland was cool with taking another picture but people were quick to jump in with him. So my husband and I waited off to the side patiently. After about 4 or 5 people Harland saw we were still waiting and he asked if we wanted another picture, I said yeah but I didn’t want to jump in front of anyone. He said, we were next and like he promised we jumped back in and got another picture. Once again there was no flash but I wasn’t going to go back for a third, luckily it was good.

What a fun evening!! I got to spend with my husband, brother, mother and her partner. Great food, company and laughs.

Special thanks to Hilarities for the hook up and warm hospitality and for Harland Williams for the laughs!

Thank you for my fans!! Hope you enjoyed the story, please like, comment and SHARE!!

Cleveland Comic Con / Wizard World

Wizard
Hello!
I’ll try to make this short and sweet but there is soooooooooooo much to talk about. Let us begin where Pat and I were going to purchase the 3 day weekend pass but ended up just getting tickets for Saturday. It was $107.00 for the two of us, $45 a piece plus some crazy amount of tax. However Pat and I were planning this for some time now so we were prepared to pay the price. We had never been to a #ComicCon before and with this being #Cleveland‘s first we just had to check it out. #ClevelandComicCon Now my husband is a geek and loves his super heroes and comic books, so he was excited for other reasons. I on the other hand was all about the celebrities that would be occupying their little booths. One celebrity in particular was Scott Wilson / #HershelGreene from The Walking Dead (TheWalkingDead) , and I was going to snag him for sure. The sucky thing about all of this was that you had to pay for a picture and then pay for an autograph but not all of us had a million dollars. But I had a few bucks in my pocket and went there expecting to spend some of it, I wasn’t leaving there without a picture with a celebrity. When we got there, we headed straight to the back where all the celebs were caged in little areas. We headed over to where Scott Wilson was, it was very exciting…for me. At most of the booths you could pay in cash for a picture (selfie) or an autograph or both but at a cheaper rate. You also could chat it up with them for a bit and then move a long. Wizard World was offering “Photo ops” for a lot more money but they were professionally taken, and you got a free print out of it. I didn’t need all that and was content with an average photo with my own camera. Pat forced me to get in line and do my photo op with Scott before it was too late. As I was scooting through the line I made eye contact with Scott and we had a small conversation before I made it to him. So I did, paid my $20 and got a picture with Mr.Wilson, I didn’t want to pay another $30 for an autograph. When I got up there he asked for a hug, and of course I gave him one. He was super sweet and talked to us for a minuet.
Scott Wilson
When all was done Pat and I went our separate ways. He was going to look at all the toys and booths and I was going to hang out with the celebrities. I wanted to meet more but I didn’t want to pay for it, so I decided to try and catch them in between. It didn’t work out so well:
1) Seth Gilliam / #GabrielStokes from #TheWalkingDead had a booth next to Scott. I saw him leave his area and book it across the floor, so I followed him. I made it to him and asked for a quick picture, he acted as though I wasn’t there. He was frantically looking around for something, I asked if he was on a mission and he said yes. So I let him go but I still followed him, lol. The whole time I kept an eye out and nobody even noticed him so I wasn’t to nervous about drawing any unnecessary attention. On his way back, I hung behind and let him pass me. I walked back up to him and asked Seth again. He said no and told me I could go to his booth if I wanted a picture. I told him maybe I would and he said ok. That’s when I decided I wasn’t going to give him my money, his booth remained empty for most of the time. I felt one quick selfie wouldn’t have hurt anything.
Seth Gillum
2) Lou Ferrigno / #TheIncredibleHulk was next, his booth was more open and was easier to get to. At one point he left his post to talk to someone, I waited till he came back. When he did, I “accidentally” walked into his path to make contact, which I did. He put his large hand on my tiny Shoulder and we exchanged words. He stood there for a second, we were kinda behind the black wall. I took this chance to ask him for a selfie, I said “Can we take an illegal selfie real quick?” he hesitated, and then sad no and pointed to his booth. For a moment I felt he was going to say yes but the power of the #WizardWorld people must be stronger than I thought.
 Lou
3) Adrian Paul / #Highlander had left his booth he was on the move and I literally had to jog to catch up with him. I reached him and got his attention, he turned around and apologized but he couldn’t, and then a staff member came running towards us saying he had to go and he couldn’t stop. Then he disappeared into the photo op section, I think he had an appointment with paying customers. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let this one slide.
Adrian1
4) James Marsters / #Spike from #BuffytheVampireSlayer and #Angel. This was towards the end of the day and I wasn’t even looking for him when I happened to look up and saw him walking towards me. So of course I asked if it would be ok for a picture and he apologized but couldn’t, the guy he was with said the same thing and then they walked away.
Spike
I was denied 4 times and wasn’t feeling it anymore, I had failed. It might not have been so bad if I had recordings of the rejections but I thought I would get the selfie (plus I had to act fast) so I had to have my camera ready just in case. Anyways, I kept circling the booths with $60 burning a hole in my pocket, I wanted one more celebrity. My back was hurting me my feet and legs hated me but I kept on, at one point Pat found me and forced me to eat something.

I was able to sneak a selfie of myself and Lou

Lou and I

and myself and Jason David Frank, The Green and White #PowerRanger.

Jason David Frank

I finally decided who I was going to get a picture with next, Drea de Matteo from #TheSopranos and #DesperateHousewives ( I LOVE and MISS DHW). My main decision had a lot to do with that she was the cheapest at $20 for a picture. I would have gotten a picture with everyone but since my money tree withered up, I had to resort to penny pinching and thus my decision to snag Drea. She was starting to put her jacket on so I jumped right in, she was kind enough to spare some time. Her handler took 2 pictures like super quick, I thanked her and walked off. I took a look at the pictures of us and I looked horrible. One, my eyes were closed and the other, I had a stupid look on my face. So I walked back over there and asked for a redo, that I’d even erase the other two. She said “I didn’t have to do that” and she would take another one with me. We joked around, and the guy kept taking picture after picture. At one point she even tickled me, it was a fun and awkward photo shoot. I thanked them and then went on my way, making sure to check and see that I had a good picture. Out of the dozen or so I was able to find a nice one.

Drea

Well, this is the longest blog of your life and I apologize but I can’t help myself. I promise, it’s almost over.

It was after 5 or 6 and most of the booths were cleared out, I decided to call it quits. I found Pat sitting at a table and joined him, it was nice to rest. As we were chilling I saw that Adrian was packing it up for the night and last minuet I had to get a picture with him too. I walked over and put on my cutest smile, they were kind enough to let me sneak in a quick one. The man that was with Adrian took the picture for us and of course before I could leave I had to check to see if I looked good in it. Adrian, looks at me and goes “Is it good?” I nodded yes, he smiled, I thanked him and that was that.

Adrian

When that was all said and done, we made our way towards the door when my husband told me there was a #DoctorWho actor over here taking pictures with people. I never watched the show or knew any of the actors in it but I jumped in to get a picture with the guy anyways. I Googled the show but couldn’t find this guy anywhere, I saw someone had tagged him as the tenth doctor and some of the pictures looked like him. Well, I posted the picture but was told that wasn’t the actor but a look a like. OH well, my mistake. I did find that he is on a web series about the show on YouTube, so that kinda counts…right?

Doctor Who

Finally the floor was closing and we decided it was time to leave. We had a nice adventure but Pat was disappointed that the comic books were not as plentiful as he would have liked. I thought Wizard World was a little greedy with everything, especially with the celebrities and all the fees. I also think that Wizard World has strict rules, which was why I was dissed on the selfies. It seemed some wanted to take the picture but that they were scared to death to give in, haha. I’d like to know how that all works, and who gets paid and where all the money goes to. For now, I’ll keep a low profile. Maybe some day, I’ll figure it out.

I would have LOVED to get more celebrity faces and I feel that I tried really hard to make that happen but the cards were against me that day. I also didn’t get any autographs, just money I felt I better  hold onto for food and such and it’s not like I plan on selling the autographs anyways…so no need for them at this time. PLUS. I like a picture anyways, shows proof you were there and is worth a thousand words from what I hear.

ALSO, might I add. Everyone was super friendly, from the staff, to the customers, all the booth people and mostly the celebrities. Can’t be easy sitting there for hours having the same conversation with creepy fans day after day. Mad props and a great big THANK YOU!

There were other celebrities floating around too, these were the ones I got pictures of. There are a few others I didn’t recall seeing while I was there or missed completely, exciting –  I KNOW!

A lot of the celebrity folk hung out and around the Cleveland area, including the Casino AND were nice and taking pictures…probably for free I might add. Next time I’ll pay more attention and chill at the Black Jack tables, I might have better luck. It’s very hard though to be on call, especially living on the eastside which is a good 15 to 20 minutes away, not like I can just take a walk down the block. Parking is expensive and traffic can be horrible, not to mention the weather we’ve been having here lately.

I think that is it for now, enjoy the pictures. Some of the staff were super serious and wouldn’t let you take pictures of the stars but I did my best. I have more pictures that maybe I’ll upload later.

Ohhh and I went back before I left and gave Scott another hug, we talked for a minuet and then I let the man be. If I was thinking I could of had Pat take pictures or record it…but I didn’t think of it till after the fact. Also. It appears that Mr.Wilson hugs everyone, young, old, and ugly. I thought we shared a moment…I still think I was his favorite though.

Thank you for your patience, I know this was long.

Wendy Liebman

WENDY LIEBMAN

Wendy on Americas Got Talent

Good morning,
My story begins on one very cold and snowy day in February, or maybe it was in January. I think it was January, more towards the end of the month so it felt like it could have been February. Actually this information is useless to the current situation so I am going to continue on.
A small time ago Pickwick & Frolic/Hilarities 4th Street Theatre (my new favorite place) called me up and said “Hey, you won 4 tickets to a future show” and then listed 3 different acts. All I heard was Blah, Blah, Blah, #WendyLiebman and I knew right away which show I was picking. I was also a bit disappointed in myself for not knowing she was coming to Cleveland, Ohio but that was in the past and I was going to see her in the future so all was right with the world.Slipping back a smidge further into the 2014 season of America’s Got Talent, which is where we first saw Wendy and fell in love. She didn’t win but she got super far and with being a comedian…let a long a female one at that was very impressive.

OK, now back to present day.

I found Wendy on Twitter, followed her and began tagging her in many random tweets. To my surprise she has favorited I think every one that she was tagged in, pretty sweet. At least I knew she was reading or somewhat acknowledging me and that made my heart fill up with joy. Not much gets me all hot and bothered.

So, the night of the show came pretty quickly. Luckily for us the #Cleveland snow storm was the night before so the roads and weather, despite the below freezing temperatures were manageable and we headed downtown and parked. We made our way in and to my surprise were sat very close to the stage, ordered some dranks and waited for the show to begin.

First out was local comedian and crowd pleaser #BrianKenny (@BrianKenny69), he got the room going and was a pleasantly funny despite living in his parents basement.

Next out was @MikeParamore (#MichaelParamore), I liked his style. Very entertaining, one big chocolate teddy bear.

AND THEN the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the headliner of the night Wendy Libeman appeared out of the dark wearing black and standing 3 feet tall on stage. The microphone stand hovering over her like a blanket of stars, I could have scooped her up and ran off with her but I wanted to see her act first… you know to make sure keeping her locked up in my apartment was going to be worth it for the next few decades. Anyways, fantasies aside. I sipped on my drink and enjoyed the show. She was great, just how I remembered her from T.V. Lots of energy and constantly smiling, she interacted with the audience and was very patient at times. WE enjoyed ourselves very much and hated to see it come to an end but like all good things it did.

When the lights came on we followed the crowd out the doors and up the stairs to do a little meet and greet with the comedians, my favorite part of the night. *Giggles*

Wendy was busy talking with an older gentleman and I waited awkwardly off to the side for when it was my time to pounce. When that time did come, which seemed like the longest 95 seconds of my life I scooted in. But she turned around to Michael and they exchanged high fives, I had to break them up because it was my turn. Wendy was very kind and friendly, I told her how we watched and rooted for her the whole time on AGT. She said she had such a blast on the show, I asked her about Cleveland and she said she was having such a good time. We then got our picture taken together, I thanked her again.. Oh..Oh. The hug, I almost forgot about the hug. So. I am a huge hugger and have been known to give pretty damn good hugs but putting all that aside. When Wendy and I initially met, She asked what my name was (which was sweet) and that’s when I brought up AGT, we smiled at each other and then she held her arms out and wanted to give me a hug, ME! I’m usually the one wrapping my creepy arms around people. So, that totes made my night. The picture was taken and I’m sure we said a few other things that I can’t quite remember. I then asked her to sign my ticket stub and she didn’t have any problem with it. Of course I had a sharpie with me all ready to go and while she was signing she covered it up with her had has to keep it a secret. She had signed it using my name, which she remembered (more points for me) and then I made some lame comment about her number being on it. I’m hoping she didn’t hear that but I’m afraid she did, I sometimes need to try not to be “funny” because it just makes me look bad. We said our goodbyes, I kinda wanted to stay and talk with her all night. She seemed super cool and down to earth, would loved to have picked her brain BUT I had people with me and of course work the next day. Before I left I made sure I got me some more hugs and snagged a picture with the boys.

Wendy and I

Ticket stubWe got home at a reasonable time and this young lad went right to bed.

Woke up the next day and uploaded all my pictures and once again bothered Wendy on twitter, I think she finally caved in and decided to follow me back! SCORE!!! Wendy Twitter

STALK YA LATERS!!

Jeff Daniels and the Ben Daniels Band

Hello everyone!!
Saturday (1/31/15) night Shari and I attended a concert at the Music Box Supper Club in Cleveland, this club has only been open for about 4 or 6 months, it actually appears to be apart of the same building the Cleveland Improv is located.

Initially we thought it was just a bar type situation, we would go, order some food, have a couple of drinks and enjoy the show. But it turns out this is more of a club and we had to purchase tickets to get inside. Bummer. This wasn’t in the budget, so now we had to make plans for our plans because we still wanted to meet Jeff Daniels. AND at this point if you’re like “#JeffDaniels, the actor?” I will add that you are correct. I thought the same thing but looked it up and he has been writing and signing for sometime now. His son has the band #TheBenDanielsBand and I guess Jeff is floating around with him for a little bit.

Moving on.

I made contact with the club and they told me to check out FlashSeats, last minute, I did and got 2 tickets for $13 total. Normal ticket prices were like $30 a piece, so we lucked out.

Shari picked me up around 7 and we made our way downtown, took us a minuet to find the place but we did and parked. Parking was $6, not horrible. As we walked to the entrance we checked out the surroundings to see where the exit door would be and the possible escape rout. There was one place, the side of the building and pretty close to the actual main doors. There was a black van that looked like it could hold some band equipment. We felt pretty confident that this would be the spot we needed to be after the show. As we made our way in and up the stairs we saw a table that had a sign reading CD’s and merchandise. Hoping that he would hang out there afterwards and we could just do a wham, bam, thank you ma’am and leave.

Inside was what I would describe like a smaller wedding type hall, lined with tables. We were seated pretty close to the stage and sat at a table with other peoples. Shari and I ordered some food and a couple of beers and enjoyed our night.

Jeff and the Ben Daniels Band came out on time and began playing. I liked the music, it was upbeat for most of the time with hints of humor in it.

Jeff Daniels 1                                                                                                                                                                              Jeff Daniels

Jeff talked a lot and explained how he came up with the idea for certain songs, and was very informative. He also had a pretty decent raspy voice, I was impressed.

The night ended and they said their goodbyes, Shari and I waited for our check and made our way out. The table we passed on the way in was bare so we knew that we were going to have to head out into the cold.

When we got outside we saw that there were a few people waiting already and in the spot we figured. However these folks were the eBay people with their little clipboards and printed pictures of Jeff Daniels.

Then one of the band mates came out and looked like a deer in headlights when he saw all 6 of us standing out there. He was kind of rude and told us we could not stay there, that they had to leave and get back to Michigan before the HUGE snow storm. Anyways. All the eBay people left and it was just Shari and I and then 2 other woman who were kind of waiting behind us.

Well to make this story longer, it started getting really cold and it was taking forever for Jeff to come out but we were gonna to wait and make sure Jeff denied us and not his security.

Finally he came out and the security made a line, at one point the guy in front of me turned to look at me and then stepped in my way. Annoying. But I was recording the whole time. Jeff walked out and ignored us pretty much, you can hear him saying he can’t and he might of said thank you or something IDK. Anyways. I was a little disappointed that he didn’t take a minuet for a quick picture. I guess it is what is it but I am a bit salty about it.

All and all it was a nice evening and pretty cheap, glad we went.

Check out the videos above, just click on the links and they will take you to my YouTube page…which you can also subscribe to.. (Hint, Hint, Wink, Wink)

Oh and we met a nice couple sitting at our table, I feel bad I didn’t get their name but they were big supporters of our “stalking”. Love meeting new people!!

Thank you to everyone, hope you enjoyed our little adventure. Please, like, comment, and share with all your close friends.

I’m BACK!

Woah!!

I don’t know what happened (and I’m not sure if I am fully functional yet) but thanks to my buddy Johnny Sarcasm I am at least above water.

Sorry that I have been so out of touch and not up to date but there have been a few adventures I need to get everyone up to speed on.

While the site was down I started a Facebook page and continued from where I left off. At this point it’s a lot easier and more convienient to use that portal, so I am torn with what do. I am getting a lot more views (I think) and interactions with Facebook than this blog but I hate to just give up on it. Please visit the page for the full stories and more pictures, I am thinking I will transfer everything to here soon depending on my decision.

Any feedback is very much welcomed!

For the moment, this is what you have missed:

I met Clint Frazier after a Captains baseball game one day, got a picture and had him sign a foul ball we got a few weeks eariler. He was signed by The Indians in 2013 and could make it to the pros sooner than later.

The So You think You Can Dance crew came into town, we waited out in the cold for hours only to not meet anyone. A few were sick and they all had excuses that they were told from upper management they were NOT to come out and mingle with fans. I felt salty and voiced my opnion on Twitter, got a response from the winner and then backlash from all his fans. Eh. I’m over it.

Melissa Etheridge was a big success. I actually went to her show and had a blast, what a performer. Met her out back, she signed our ticketstubs and then went on her way. She declined a picture because she had just taken a shower and wasn’t all dolled up. I dropped the ball and didn’t get any secret video but got plenty of pictures of her during the show.

Tony Bennett was also a success, snagged him AND his daughter as they were entering the building. Got a picture with his daughter but he was only signing things, I got partial video the rest stopped recording… Very upset.

Chris Daughtry was a big fail, got there to late and missed him going into the building. We waited a little bit but he never came back out. We walked to the front and saw him through the glass taking pictures with fans. I recorded it but both my devises failed and I didn’t get anything to report back on.

I got to meet a few of The Cleveland Browns players, they were at a bar for an autograph party. Phil Taylor, Robert Nelson Jr, and Craig Robertson. Got pictures of them, with them and around them, got some things signed and talked to the guys. They were very nice.

Emma Stone was performing in New York City on Broadway, Shari took a trip down there to see the play and to try and meet her. SCORE. She got her playbill signed and got some video of her signing everything. She rolled throught the crowd pretty quick, no selfies though… this time. (winky face)

Got 4 free tickets to see David Alan Grier, great show and of course got in line to meet him afterwards.

Dancing With the Stars season 15 winner Alfonso Ribeiro went on tour with the group and had two performances at the HardRock Rocksino. Shari and I got there just in time as the bus was rolling up, he came out, signed our things and took a picture with us. Very nice!
